Summer Student: Markets Coordinator
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Enforcing the rules and regulations of the weekly Farmers' Market.
- Organizing and executing special events for the Farmers’ Market
- Managing the float and cash for the Farmers’ Market on a weekly basis.
- Membership recruitment & support (informal).
- Basic administrative duties as required.
- Updating website and creating dynamic social media content for the Farmers' Market and other Chamber events.
- Planning, executing and managing special events & promotions related to the Farmers’ Market and other events.
- Setup and take down of the weekly market.
- Managing and curating the weekly Farmers' Market, including direct communication with vendors, database management, and as the on-site Chamber lead.
- Marketing support for the Farmers’ Market, other Chamber events and general Chamber advertising.

Supervision:
Your role is under the direct supervision of the Marketing, Communications and Events Specialist.
The Member Services and Administrative Coordinator may, from time to time, also make requests of you, which are to be undertaken as time permits and in communications with the team as a whole.
All roles are under the overall leadership and direction of the Executive Director.
Job Type: Temporary
Job Hours: 37.5 hours/week
M, T, W, F: 8:30 am – 4:30 pm
Th: 11:30 am – 7:30 pm
At times, hours may be required outside of these times to execute events. Time in lieu is offered to offset this.
Job Location: Fort Saskatchewan
To be eligible for this position, you must be between 15 and 30 years of age on the start date of the job. You also must have been a full-time student during the previous academic year and be intending to return to full-time studies in the next academic year. You also must be an Alberta Resident and be legally entitled to work according to relevant provincial legislation and regulations or a protected person under the Canadian Immigration and Refugee Protection Act.
