Marcomm Intern: Multimedia And Design (September 2023 Term)

Your New Role and Team

Our Marketing and Communications team is looking to hire a Marketing and Communications Intern, Multimedia and Design for a 4-month term. Reporting to the Marketing and Communications Managers, you’ll gain a comprehensive understanding of the entire marketing initiative process from ideation to implementation that builds upon Sanctuary’s brand. This position is a paid, full-time 4-month position.

The best candidates for this role have excellent marketing theory knowledge, are passionate about using technology to create lasting positive change in the world, and ideally have previous hands-on experience with executing and delivering marketing assets and collateral. You enjoy working with a creative, close-knit and collaborative team with opportunities to engage cross functionally with other Sanctuary teams and have a sharp eye for detail and aesthetics to deliver high-quality work. Responsibilities

• Use and maintain modern and traditional technical equipment (cameras, lenses, lights, etc.) while keeping informed of best practices
• Manage photography needs (product, headshots, events, and more); responsibilities will range from capturing and processing images, improving image quality using various techniques and editing methods, assisting with overall creative visions, drafting shot lists, styling, and executing the photoshoots
• Assist with the coordination of marketing activities, such as demos, external stakeholder meetings, and client site visits
• Support the marketing and communications team with additional marketing activities as required
• Create key marketing visual assets from start to finish for print and digital
• Understand a brief’s specifications and collaborate with other members of the Marketing and Communications team and with a variety of other teams to create compelling visual content
• Support in the project management of marketing initiatives to ensure deliverables are met on-time and of high quality

Your Experience

Qualifications:

• Final year student or recently graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Graphic Design, Animation, Art, Film Production, Digital Media, or Marketing; or have equivalent professional experience
• Professional experience in a position that required creativity, problem-solving, and accountability is a plus
• Avid interest and passion for artificial intelligence and robots is a plus

Skills:

• Proficient with traditional and modern equipment (cameras, lenses, lights, etc.)
• Proficiency in video editing (ideally Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects) is a plus
• Proficiency in 3D creation and animation (e.g. Blender) is a plus
• Expertly skilled in Adobe programs including Photoshop, Illustrator, Lightroom and InDesign
• Understands the importance of and demonstrates having a keen eye for detail
• Familiar with Google Workplace, Microsoft Office, and Slack
