BBA is seeking a Mechanical Engineer co-op student to support our continued growth and achievement of our strategic objectives as consultants in the natural resource and renewable energy industries.

The selected candidate may be involved in engineering projects from front end-studies through to detailed engineering. As a potential future member of the mechanical engineering team, the candidate can expect coaching and oversight from experienced engineers while being responsible for technical deliverables that stretch their abilities.

With us, you’ll get the opportunity to...

• Provide assistance to more experienced personnel for the technical aspects of complex tasks
• Perform detailed engineering based on codes, standards, and industry best practices for projects varying from carbon capture and hydroelectric plants (penstocks, hydromechanical equipment, balance of plant) to heavy industrial plants (process, HVAC, piping) and mining processing plants (material handling, crusher, conveyors)
• Knowledge, and supporting the enhancement of skills within the team
• Perform engineering calculations
• Foster a culture of having fun at work while producing high quality professional work
• Receive mentorship and coaching from intermediate and senior engineers, actively growing
• Collaborate with EITs
• Present technical information and concepts to members of team.
