Plasman Tilbury Manufacturing, 24 Industrial Park Rd, Tilbury Ontario is immediately seeking a new member to join our team as:


MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR

Reporting to the Maintenance Superintendent, the Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for coordination of activities associated with the Maintenance department to ensure efficient and optimal productivity of our operations at Plasman. This will be completed by engaging the team of technicians through a collaborative effort to provide support and expertise to all aspects of our operations related to the Maintenance department.


Key Responsibilities Include


  • Responsible for maintaining the rack preventative maintenance system - TIL
  • Ensure that all employees comply with the Occupational Health & Safety Act.
  • Commission, sign off and implement equipment for secondary operations from process engineering and maintenance department
  • Ensure that all employees receive proper training and understand all job tasks
  • Participate in the design, commission and installation of all plant equipment (process & assembly) as required
  • Promote an atmosphere of teamwork at all times
  • Participate in a cross-functional internal continuous improvement activities and document aspects of R&D for claiming purposes.
  • Assist in any way to any employee, necessary to promote a successful operation emphasizing customer satisfaction
  • Required to managing employee time in the payroll system
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment
  • Abide by the Company Value Statement and the Company Standard Code of Conduct
  • Optimize manufacturing process operations thru analytical studies of the current operating parameters, such as, production methods and processes on a continuous basis.
  • Ensure that all employees receive proper training and understand all job tasks and act as a trainer in various areas of expertise
  • Directing and coordinating all Technician activities within the maintenance department and assisting when necessary
  • Complete any other duties as assigned
  • Responsible for tracking Technician work schedules and entering into E-Maintenance - TIL
  • Oversee and assist in the electrical, pneumatic and general repair by maintenance of all equipment - TIL
  • Ensuring personal and associate awareness, understanding and conformance with IATF 16949 and ISO 14001 standards
  • During management system audit events provide evidence in support of conformance with applicable standards and procedures, and participate in corrective action activities as necessary
  • Oversee that the Preventive Maintenance System is being performed within manufacturers specifications including printing, closing and monitoring PM completion status
  • Ensure that sufficient resources are available for each department including training, safety requirements, personnel, work instructions, procedures, and related tools.
  • Manage all outside contractors and ensure Plasman Safety Procedures are always followed - TIL
  • Comply with established rules, procedures, and Health and Safety Mandates
  • Analyze and control Spare Parts Inventory and initiate appropriate activities to improve
  • Ensure equipment is in good mechanical condition to provide safe operation.


Minimum Education/Or Designation Requirements


  • Must possess a secondary school diploma or equivalent
  • Ticket in a provincial recognized Industrial Maintenance designation and or equivalent experience.


Minimum Work Experience Requirements


  • Demonstrated knowledge or ability to be trained on E-Maintenance program - TIL
  • Knowledgeable in integrated manufacturing technology as it relates to the facility.
  • Must have 8-10 years process control and troubleshooting experience, with at least 3 years in a supervisory/leadership capacity.
  • Have an excellent working knowledge and understanding of all equipment and computer.
  • Experience with PLC (Rockwell, Omron), Robotics (ABB,Fanuc) is preferred (TIL)
  • Ability to communicate effectively both written and verbal

  • Additional training requirements may be identified based on plant-specific location (municipality/province/state/country) and/or operational needs that are commensurate with the duties, expectations and responsibilities of the role within the specific plant
  • Access to reliable transportation
  • Understanding of expectations detailed through Organization Statements, Standards, Visions, Policies and Procedures (i.e. Mission, Values, Code of Conduct, Operational, Quality, and Environmental Health & Safety) as referenced in Employee Handbooks and communicated through Orientation and/or other training awareness opportunities
  • Must be able to be a leader to all employees
  • Capable of independent travel to, from and within designated regions
  • Ability to perform well in high pressure situations
  • Meets expectation rating (rating score of 2 or 3) in all applicable Competencies as defined in the Performance Management Process.
  • Possess sound financial and business insights
  • Must be capable of performing the essential duties which include maximum safe lifts to the 75th percentile of the employee as determined by acceptable standards
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk and reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision and ability to adjust focus
