Our company is a large wholesaler of Roll-Your-Own products (rolling paper, hemp wraps, rolling accessories). We're a small tight group with about 20 office employees. Our work environment is very positive and team oriented.

Job Type / Category


As a Logistics Coordinator/Planner, you will be responsible for all aspects of freight and logistics, tracking shipments and preparing customs clearance and documentation. Working closely with the Purchaser / Inventory controller to maintain optimal inventory levels, building solid vendor relationships, including negotiating pricing and terms with vendors, the flow of materials from a vendor to our warehouse, and updating and maintaining products in our inventory management system. The perfect candidate will be extremely flexible and enjoys a collaborative workplace. Candidates who are personable, possess a strong work ethic, and have a positive attitude will be at the top of our list.


Responsibilities


  • Build and maintain solid vendor relationships
  • Prepare reports for top management
  • Sourcing for potential new products and negotiating pricing
  • Finalize shipment receipts and convert them in SAP for reconciliation
  • Enter SKU data into the inventory management system
  • Track shipments and prepare customs clearance with the designated broker
  • Resolve receiving and invoicing issues and facilitate resolution of quality issues
  • Complete other duties and responsibilities as assigned
  • Negotiate freight and coordinate shipment booking with forwarders
  • Monitor inventory and assist with inventory transfers for stock replenishment
  • Continuously identify, measure, and improve processes
  • Collaborate with warehouse, graphics, and sales team to resolve product issues
  • Negotiate claims on damaged and nonconforming products with responsible parties


Required Education, Skills And Qualifications


  • Ability to work with and understand robust inventory management systems.
  • Ability to solve problems effectively and diplomatically.
  • Bulk data management, gathering, and processing experience.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills.
  • A positive attitude and strong work ethic a must.
  • Strong working knowledge in MS Excel and Pivot Tables
  • 3-5+ years retail and/or wholesale logistics/planning experience (required)
  • Knowledge of smoking accessories is a plus.
  • SAP Experience: 2 years (required)
  • Must have excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Solid knowledge of Supply Chain Management.
  • Ability to perform inventory planning and volume forecasting.
  • Ability to manage high number of moving pieces; capable of working on several tasks simultaneously, transitioning from one to the other without error.
