Our team members at GeoVerra set the standard for our company, and the industry and we are currently seeking a Legal Survey Drafter to join our fun and collaborative team in Mississauga. As a Senior Legal Survey Drafter, you will work on several projects drafting cadastral CAD survey plans. You will approach each project with a high attention to detail while applying your specialized drafting and legal survey plan knowledge to ensure great results.

What you will do:

• Ensure legal survey plans meet regulatory requirements of AOLS.
• Obtain Plans and field notes from other survey firms as required.
• Determine relevant information from underlying plans or documents to show on legal plans.
• Create coordinated point plot drawings for field investigation and layout.
• Prepare various plans which include, but are not limited to: Compiled Plans, Plans of Survey, Surveyor’s Real Property Reports, Reference Plans, Expropriation Plans, Subdivision Plans, Condominium Plans, Topographic Plans, and Canada Lands Plans.
• Calculate and assess property boundary closures.
• Prepare subdivision lot schedules.
• Assess survey evidence and calculate property boundaries from Registry office documents, field notes, and other records.
• Actively participate in and proactively support the advancement of the GeoVerra safety program.
• Review findings and collaborate with an Ontario Land Surveyor.
• Process incoming terrestrial Gather data from Geowarehouse, Terraview and other sources for Plans, PINS and instruments.

What you will bring:

• Experience in Digital Terrain Models (DTM) including break line problem solving.
• Expertise in preparation of construction calculations and as-built plans.
• Keen attention to detail
• 10+ years of CAD drafting experience of detailed Topographic survey plans from a combination of data sources, including traditional survey, terrestrial/airborne/mobile LiDAR, photogrammetry, and sonar.
