L82 Construction Ltd. was incorporated in 1982 and is a heavy civil construction company in the London and Area, specializing in the installation of sewers, watermains and road works as well as site preparation and project management. Our organization has grown considerably through the strength of its employees and management, attention to detail and of course, quality workmanship. Much of the work L82 undertakes involve complex issues such as environmental issues, traffic management, public relations erosion and sediment control. We are currently seeking a highly motivated Estimator to join our team.

Typical responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

• Contract review and estimating including budgets, vendor and subcontractor quoting review
• Conducting meetings, making formal presentations.
• Forecasting projects and making timely management decisions based on job cost and job progress.
• Estimate projects including building bid, quantity take-offs, communication with consultants and procuring supplier and subcontractor pricing
• Other duties as assigned.
• Direct, motivate and supervising procurement team through all phases of the estimate.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering
• Sound technical capabilities, organizational skills, and problem-solving ability.
• Sound business and economic-thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to create budgets and make informed and logical decisions.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Heavy Bid, Heavy Job, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• 5+ years of proven estimating success in complex projects
• In depth understanding of plan reading, interpretation of specifications
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills required
• Ability to manage responsibilities independently, and work in a team environment
