The role: The Director, Legal & Regulatory Lawyer provides leadership and guidance to the Compliance and Regulatory Teams, as well as advice and support to senior management in connection with all legal, regulatory & compliance work.
You should apply if:You have your Juris Doctor or Bachelor of Laws and you have passed the Canadian Bar JurisdictionYou have a minimum of 2-3 years experience managing and leading a team, preferably a legal, regulatory or compliance teamYou have a minimum one year of experience in either contract law, employment law, privacy law or insurance lawYou’re a master multi-tasker, and you have the ability to work on a number of projects simultaneously (and sometimes with competing priority levels and deadlines).You have experience and good judgment in contract review and interpretation, as well as risk reporting.You are fluent in English, with excellent written and oral communication skills.
