Job Description

Logient is looking for Learning & Development Specialist for a client, an established Dental company based in Montréal.


Position Summary

The Learning & Development Specialist is responsible for supporting learning and development programs for employees at all levels. The focus of this role is on implementing creative and engaging learning solutions that drive business outcomes and provide value to employees, teams, and the organization. Areas of responsibility include coordination, administration, facilitation, assessment, and creation of programs such as leadership and management development, career and skill development, and culture. This individual will be a member of the North America Learning & Development Team and will participate in the Global Learning & Development Community of Practice.


Job Responsibilities

This position is responsible for, but not limited to, the following:


  • Organize and manage the administration of various learning and development programs in multiple formats including in-person, virtual, and eLearning
  • Administer program assessments, surveys, and feedback
  • Maintain records of learning and development activities including registration, attendance, assessment results, engagement, and completion via an LMS
  • Facilitate various programs both live and virtually, including leadership and management development, culture, and skill development
  • Participate in the Global Learning & Development Community of Practice
  • Foster collaborative working relationships with the Learning & Development Team, the Human Resources Department, functional and business heads, and subject matter experts
  • Create and/or acquire tools to support learning and development programs and needs such as guides, SOPs and course materials
  • Support with translation of program materials from English to Canadian French


Qualifications

  • Experience with learning management systems (LMS), eLearning authoring programs, virtual classroom environments and employee engagement platforms preferred (experience with Absorb, Articulate 360, Adobe Connect or Glint a plus!)
  • Proficient written and spoken language skills in English and Canadian French
  • Holds a curious mindset with the ability and desire to learn new skills and embrace change
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • 2-4 years of experience in a learning and development, training, education, or event planning role
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and agile with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities
  • Presentation and facilitation skills or desire to learn these skills preferred
  • Creates a welcoming environment for all, celebrates differences and encourages others
  • Ability to travel with Canada and to the US up to 15%
  • Demonstrates a high level of integrity and handles confidential information appropriately
  • Proficient in MS Office programs including PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and SharePoint
  • Prior experience coordinating events
