Land Regeneration Consulting Director

Our company is seeking a Land Regeneration Consulting Director to grow our team of consultants who specialize in land regeneration. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the administrative and operational aspects of our consulting projects, including creating and implementing a sales process, coordinating with clients, managing project schedules, and supporting the development and delivery of high-quality consulting services. For onboarding and training, you will report to the Director of Land Regeneration at the onset of the role. Over time you will be the Consulting Department Director and report to the CEO/COO. However, you will liaison across the company as we build other initiatives that relate to consulting including Greenhouse Manufacturing, Training Programs, MRV (Monitor, Record and Verify), Research & Development, and software development. We are looking for someone who is eager to take on the creation of systems to push our consulting company toward profitability and someone who is dedicated to innovation.
Requirements

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to identify and solve complex problems.
• Ability to manage forecasts, and finances, including budgets and Profit and Loss statements.
• Knowledge of project management methodologies and tools.
• Understanding of agriculture and engineering, in addition to an understanding of permaculture, ecology, agroforestry, or other related fields.
• Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage and motivate staff.
• A growth and entrepreneurial mindset that leads the company to grow year-over-year.
• Familiarity with the land regeneration or sustainability industry is a plus. Experience in Industrial Agriculture would be a helpful reference point.
• Experience in portfolio management, including leading a handful of projects at the same time and ensuring they are completed within scope and budget.
• Bachelor's degree in business administration, operations management, or a related field. A Master’s Degree is encouraged.
• At least 7 years of experience in operations management, consulting or a related field.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and manage the sales pipeline that speaks to both sides of our ideal client: acreages and urban projects, regenerative agriculture projects.
• Collaborate with project managers and consultants to ensure that projects are properly staffed and resourced.
• Build partnerships with other consulting and implementation companies.
• Build a strategic plan for expansion into North America and globally.
• Manage both the design team and the implementation team to make sure all projects are moving forward effectively.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
• Liaison with government agencies and NGO's to build strong relationships and identify potential areas of collaboration.
• Able and willing to travel within and outside of Canada.
• Liaison with other internal stakeholders to ensure collaboration and company-wide success.
• Monitor the performance of the consulting company and identify areas for improvement, innovation and efficiency.
• Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness, including strategic systems that drive business growth.
• Work alongside Senior Consultants to develop processes for our consulting services and advance our offerings.
• Lead the sales process and future sales team in collaboration with Rob Avis, our Advisor.
• Work in collaboration with other departments to develop and implement strategic plans for the company.
• Oversee the hiring, onboarding and training of new staff as needed.
• Manage the day-to-day operations of the consulting company, including overseeing staff, managing budgets and expenses, and ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget.
• Ensure that the company complies with all applicable laws and regulations.
