Professor Kineslla Lab at the Bioengineering department is seeking a full time Lab Helper

Main tasks

• Distribute and tracks items, such as laboratory shipments. A log to track these items may be required.
• Collect and enters data into established inventory databases and help in analyzing and interpreting data
• Support in report writing and preparation of presentations
• Assist in designing experimental protocols and writing SOPs of the finished methods
• Assist in project components aimed at optimizing decellularized extracellular matrix hydrogels.
• Catalog laboratory material and or equipment.

Qualifications

• Experience in tissue decellularization, cellular assays, biochemical assays, design of experiments, data handling and analysis is a must
• Bachelor degree in Bioengineering, Chemical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering is an asset
• “Knowledge of French and English: McGill University is an English-language university where day to day duties may require English communication both verbally and in writing. The level of English required for this position has been assessed at a level # 3 (qualifier) on a scale of 0-4.”
• Knowledge of supercritical carbon dioxide solvent instrumentation, plate reader, and mechanical testing equipment.

Full time: 40 h/week

Hourly rate: 16.5$
