Our Thunder Bay location in Ontario, Canada is currently seeking talent to fill the position of Kraftmill Shift Superintendent - Thunder Bay Pulp and Paper Mill. This job is permanent, full-time.

Kraftmill Shift Superintendent – Thunder Bay Mill Operations

We are seeking a talented individual to join our Thunder Bay Operations team.

Located on the shores of Lake Superior, Thunder Bay is a four-season outdoor paradise and is the region’s commercial, administrative, medical and transportation hub, providing the amenities of an urban center while opening the gateway to outdoor adventure in North-western Ontario.

Your Challenges

In this salary position, you will provide leadership and support in the management of shift performance in the kraftmill operations.

Your Primary Responsibilities Will Include The Following

• Candidates must be able to legally work in Canada at the time of applying for this position.
• At least 3 years of previous experience within a pulp and paper environment is preferred.
• At least 3 years of previous leadership experience and sound decision-making abilities.
• High School diploma or GED equivalency.
• Your profile:
• You will monitor mill processes to ensure compliance with both Company and Legislative standards.
• You will work four on, four off 12 hour shifts working both days and nights.
• You will monitor and provide support for safety, environment, product quality and productivity while ensuring that budgeted safety, cost, production and quality targets are satisfied.

• Excellent interpersonal skills including an ability to work collaboratively within a fast paced and structured environment.
• Strong communication skills with excellent strategic thinking skills.
• Strong ability to balance priorities that meet short and long-term objectives using organized and efficient work methods.
• Proficient analytical skills required as well as a strong computer skills.
