Job Description
Our client is a multinational consumer electronics and appliance manufacturer. They started selling in the Canadian market in 2012 and their revenue has grown 30% on average YOY. The company was founded in 1969 and has since grown to become one of the largest electronics brands in the world. They produce a wide range of products, including televisions, audio equipment, refrigerators, air conditioners, washing machines, and smartphones. They have a presence in more than 160 countries worldwide and are committed to providing their customers with innovative, high-quality products at an affordable price. With clients like Costco, Best Buy, Home Depot, and the Brick - they have really made their mark in Canada and are now looking for a rockstar Key Account Manager to come on board and support their national accounts.


They are seeking a highly motivated Account Manager to support the growth of their National Accounts in consumer electronics. In this role, you will be responsible for driving sales growth for their CE product lines, primarily televisions and some audio products. You will work to grow and develop existing clients, identify new business opportunities, and build and manage relationships with key accounts.


Key Responsibilities


  • Coordinate sales training for retail staff with channel partners
  • Develop and deliver product presentations, pricing proposals and navigate key decision makers
  • Recommend refinements to product and pricing strategies as necessary
  • Achieves sales and profit targets for the assigned accounts and planning goals for new strategic partners.
  • Monitor sell thru performance and adjust plan as necessary
  • Set-up product specifics on retailer portals/ platforms for in-store and online presence
  • Collaborate with teams to plan and execute new launches, promotions, events that drive sell- thru and analyze ROI
  • Seek additional opportunities within each account and new channels where applicable
  • Working with logistics team, coordinate inbound product/ delivery to ensure MDB dates
  • Generate sales forecast to assist in business planning
  • Leads solution development efforts that best address customer needs, while coordinating the involvement of all necessary company personnel.
  • Responsible for total account management function, including acquiring new business, expansion and retention of customers
  • Product planning with retail accounts based on needs assessment to drive mutually beneficial sales results


Education & Experience


  • Project Management and process improvement exposure
  • Demonstrated effective negotiation skills with deep knowledge of sales and marketing techniques and financial principles
  • College or university education: Business Administration or Marketing preferred
  • Strong Leadership - with developed collaborative interpersonal and analytical skills
  • Demonstrates ‘hunter’ mentality when it comes to identifying prospects and opportunities
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with many competing priorities
  • Self Driven - must demonstrate independence and extremely proactive approach
  • 2-5 years of progressive sales experience managing a top-tier retail customer.
  • PC skills (Microsoft word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Customer Service mindset for both external and internal business partners
  • Communication - clear presentation skills with the ability to share relevant, timely information with internal stakeholders and external partners to influence positive outcomes
  • Consumer Electronics background
