Summary
Reporting to the Senior Accounting Manager, the Junior Financial Analyst is responsible for analyzing the financial position of the company’s subcontractors by reviewing financial statements and making recommendations based on their industry and professional knowledge. The Junior Financial Analyst will play a key role in mitigating the risk of working with subcontractors.
Responsibilities
· Responsible for reaching out to subcontractors and collecting their financial statements.
· Review financial performance of subcontractors by analyzing their financial statements and financial ratios.
· Analysis and consolidation of resource and financial data.
· Contribute to department and organization special projects as assigned.
· Enter data into spreadsheets and/or system tools.
· Take data from financial statements and apply to Buttcon’s pre-determined formula to assess risk.
· Create templates (i.e. letters and checklists) and update our policies and manuals to reflect the SDI program.
· Assist with the training and roll-out of the SDI program.
· Transcribe, interpret, and verify data for correctness.
· Conduct daily reviews of various reports.
· Support the analysis of financial information.
· Data entry, audits, enrolling sub contractors, and checking of subcontractor qualification status.
· Assist in administrative support as needed.

· Analytical and strong problem-solving ability.
· Strong attention to detail.
· Proven understanding of how to read financial statements and all components such as accrued liabilities.
· Must be able to work independently.
Qualification Requirements
· Recent graduate of a Business or Accounting & Finance Degree Program is required.
· 1 + years of Finance or Accounting related experience is an asset.
· Working toward CPA designation is an asset.
· Must have a strong understanding of key accounting ratios such as: working capital, liquidity, debt-to-equity, etc.
· Must be highly skilled in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
