Do you want to make an impact as finance professional? There is an imperative need for a Senior Financial Analyst in the Cornwall, Ontario area by a client of Robert Half. The Senior Financial Analyst will be key in operationilizing and cultivating data-driven planning processes and improving upon monthly and quarterly reporting. The Senior Financial Analyst will be in charge of driving world class strategic and financial planning methods, developing rolling forecast processes to ensure resources are leveraged with maximum effectiveness, and building long-range operating plans to support business initiatives. You will deliver variance analysis of bookings, revenues and expenses, clearly explaining the business reasons for variances and adjusting the outlook models to reflect operational adjustments. This role will allow you to directly be involved in the coordination of various planning cycles (annual planning, quarterly forecasts and monthly outlooks), while providing strategic analyses and recommendations. Responsibilities

• Team up with Accounting on the monthly and quarterly financial close process
• Make and supervise forecasting reports
• Cooperate with senior executives on strategic deep dives by developing financial models and insights on topics such as: Retention forecasts, Campaign Planning & Tracking, return on investment of strategic investments, event tracking and execution, strategic resource allocation and prioritization
• Inspect performance to date and assess potential risks and opportunities
• Govern weekly, quarterly and annual Area/Segment-level Bookings and P& L forecasting
• Log monthly and quarterly performance through comparison of actuals versus expectations and enable business partners to handle their resources
• Grasp and define internal and external drivers impacting performance and trending
• Provide effective Business Intelligence (BI) to provide forward-looking insight and decision support
• Work closely together with cross functional partners in Accounting and Operations to execute against plans
• Submit monthly reporting to business partners on financial results and actions required

Requirements

• Capability to simplify complex problems and build solutions
• Journal entries experience
• KPI Reporting experience
• Superb presentation skills
• Month end closings experience desired
• Proven knowledge of manufacturing
• Experience with SAP
• Strong familiarity with financial statement preparation
• Prior knowledge in financial reporting tools
• 3+ years experience with advanced financial analysis, planning and budget controls required

Canadian CPA is required. Experience in manufacturing is desired. Experience with financial reporting in a publicly traded company is also desired. This is an on site position
