Job Title: Journeyman Pipefitter for Industrial Shutdowns

We are seeking a skilled Journeyman Pipefitter to join our dynamic team for industrial shutdowns. The successful candidate will have experience in the installation, assembly, fabrication, maintenance, and repairs of mechanical piping systems. They must also be knowledgeable in planning and layout, as well as pipe system blueprint interpretation. This position requires a high level of technical skill, attention to safety standards, and physical strength.

Core Competencies and Skills Required:

• Education: A minimum of a Grade 12 education or equivalency is required.
• Safety Compliance: Adherence to all safety regulations and guidelines. Experience wearing and using safety gear.
• Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and management.
• Piping Skills: Experience with installation, assembly, fabrication, maintenance, and repair of mechanical piping systems.
• Technical Expertise: Certified Journeyman Pipefitter with relevant industry experience. Knowledge of all tools, equipment, and safety practices related to the pipefitting trade. Proficiency in reading and interpreting pipe system blueprints and structural drawings.
• Physical Stamina and Strength: The ability to handle heavy machinery and materials, along with standing, bending, and kneeling for extended periods.

Responsibilities:

• Install, assemble, fabricate, maintain, and repair mechanical piping systems.
• Interpret pipe system blueprints and structural drawings.
• Inspect and test installed pipe systems and pipelines.
• Operate heavy machinery and tools.
• Collaborate with team members to efficiently execute tasks.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Comply with all safety regulations and procedures.

Work Conditions:

• Safety gear is required at all times during work hours.
• The role involves physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy items and operating machinery.
• The job may require working in a variety of weather conditions, at heights, and on occasion, in confined spaces.
