IT Infrastructure Manager, Networking
The Manager of IT Infrastructure, Networking is
responsible for leading and directing a group of IT resources, ensuring
efficient organization and prioritization of work. This individual organizes
and attends meetings to discuss workloads and prioritization efforts, both
within the IT department and with various business stakeholders, and makes necessary adjustments based on monitoring the work progress.
The IT Infrastructure Manager, Networking is accountable
for the design planning (alongside Project Managers), setup, monitoring, maintenance, and some security of the Company's IT Infrastructure. This includes the WAN (wide area network), LAN (local area network), networking equipment (core switches, switches, routers, firewalls), wireless devices (indoor/outdoor), and network operations.
Reporting to the Director of IT Infrastructure, this
position provides expert technical assistance for the Company's systems,
networking, and data requirements.
This position is a Hybrid location.
Responsibilities
•Ensure adherence to procedures, policies, and standards established by management, particularly concerning work management, tickets, change management, and audits.
•Plan short-term priorities to achieve the long-term goals set by management.
•Organize team work to accommodate leaves, vacations, and holidays.
•Assign and delegate tasks effectively.
•Provide support to the Project Manager in the development and maintenance of project timelines, or manage small to mid-size projects.
•Provide regular updates to your manager and relevant business groups regarding the status of initiatives and projects.
•Develop and promote effective communication channels.
•Foster team cohesiveness and promote a collaborative work environment.
•Provide training and development opportunities for your team, including regular one-on-one meetings.
•Address performance issues with oversight from managers.
•Approve department invoicing and purchasing in collaboration with the manager.
•Participate in the department budgeting process, although not responsible for budget delivery.
•Design and implement LAN and WAN data networks, wireless networks, and/or IT infrastructure solutions to support voice and data services at all company locations.
•Ensure timely expansion of the IT Infrastructure as required to support the Company's expansion and operations.
•Build a resilient and redundant infrastructure that minimizes failures and downtime, enabling the continuous 24x7 delivery of IT Services.
•Lead and manage a team of Infrastructure analysts and technicians in the layout, installation, configuration, maintenance, and recovery of IT/network/communication equipment.
•Provide support and administration for servers, core switches, switches, firewalls, and routers.
•Perform periodic network assessments and network/systems security audits in collaboration with the Security Team. • Plan and implement necessary upgrades to maintain adequate service levels.
•Participate in the administration and maintenance of all remote monitoring solutions and Infrastructure Management Systems.
•Take responsibility for the recruitment, training, supervision, and scheduling of IT Infrastructure personnel to ensure efficient support of business operations.
•Manage technical vendors, contractors, and Infrastructure consultants.

Position Requirements
•Possess a four-year university degree or college diploma in the field of computer science or equivalent work experience.
•Demonstrate advanced technical and business knowledge in networking and related infrastructure.
•Possess the ability to orchestrate and coordinate the work of others effectively.
•Capable of setting goals and deadlines in line with the company's plans and vision.
•Willingness to be a hands-on Manager, performing team work when necessary to meet commitments. • Excellent management skills, with the ability to thrive in a challenging yet collaborative work environment, engaging individuals from across the organization with diverse interests and concerns.
