Illustrator & Graphic Designer (Junior)

The role.

The Junior Illustrator & Graphic Designer will work in conjunction with our Creative Director, Project and Account Managers and fellow designers, both Senior and Junior. Your role is to execute on design guidelines that have been developed for you, while bringing your own creativity and ideas to the table. You will be asked to build straightforward design solutions to complex design challenges across branding and logo creation, graphic design and illustration, as well as brand identity and web design projects.

This highly creative individual should have a portfolio that demonstrates a strong attention to detail (pixel perfect design is important to us). It’s also important to have a variety of styles, and the ability to think both conceptually and analytically. Organised working method and punctuality is key – a bright designer with a keen eye, a sense of humour, and a taste for challenge.

The responsibilities.

• Strong desire to learn and develop knowledge for design, branding and industry trends;
• Ability to think strategically, understand branding and learn to love our clients business’ to arrive at insights that inspire solutions;
• Generate fresh ideas to create successful designs;
• Create pixel perfect designs while following design instructions;
• Be punctual, able to comfortably navigate timelines and honour deadlines;

The requirements.

• 1-2 years agency experience in branding and web design with a global sophistication and the ability to adapt to different cultures;
• Solid skills in design software such as Figma, Sketch, Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop;
• Familiarity with Shopify, Squarespace, Webflow, Wordpress, and Klaviyo/Mailchimp;
• Portfolio that demonstrates a strong understanding of branding, graphic design, illustration, web design, typography, and colour theory;
• Nice to have: animation and motion design experience;
• Experience with web design and UI/UX trends;
• Good working knowledge of key branding disciplines including brand/corporate identity, digital and innovation;
