Job Description
As part of a team and in collaboration with the Manager, Human Resources, the Permanent Full Time Human Resources Business Partner supports an assigned client portfolio in the areas of full cycle recruitment and selection, employee and labour relations, benefits and pension administration, HRIS administration, and disability and leaves management.
Requirements
REQUIRED EDUCATION
  • Post-secondary degree/certificate in a recognized Human Resources program is required.
  • Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) designation or equivalent required in good standing.
Required Experience
  • Experience administering pension and group benefit plans.
  • Ability to demonstrate tact, diplomacy and maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Demonstrated ability to exercise strong critical thinking, judgement, and problem solving.
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive experience performing human resources functions in a unionized setting, healthcare environment preferred.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, possessing excellent customer service skills.
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative in a high volume, busy work environment requiring flexibility, adaptability, prioritization and accuracy.
  • Strong ability to collaborate and partner with others to achieve goals
  • Excellent computer proficiency, including strong working knowledge of MS Office suite and HRIS software.
  • Strong working knowledge of collective agreements, with demonstrated ability to interpret collective agreement language.
  • Extensive experience with recruitment and selection in a unionized environment.
LOCATION:
This position is currently located in Bracebridge. As MAHC is a multi-site organization (Bracebridge & Huntsville), you may be required to travel and provision of services throughout the organization.
