What you will be doing: Reporting to the Director, HR Business Partner, you will be successful for a portfolio of Long Term Care Homes predominantly in Western Ontario. You will be supporting your clients with all things HR related from employee relations, collective bargaining agreement interpretation, performance management, progressive discipline, annual merit cycle and more. The successful candidate will be required to visit their long term care homes on a weekly basis with the ability to work from home two (2) days a week. Access to a valid G license and reliable vehicle is required. Mileage reimbursement applies.


  • Drive communication to help facilitate change management process through the business, assisting leaders and team members in understanding and supporting the organizational changes
  • Facilitates professional and superior customer service by partnering with a client group to support all HR matters, including, but not limited to recruitment; retention; labour and team member relation issues; interpretation of human resources policy and procedure, collective agreements, employment legislation; grievance management; performance management; attendance management; compensation packages; W.S.I.B. management; Health and Safety practices; benefit, retirement and pension plans;
  • Provide strategic support for the business by partnering in the development of a talent management strategy to support team member engagement around succession, planning, development and coaching
  • Supports a client group in performance management and compensation related efforts including compensation planning, and guidance on performance feedback;
  • Partners with business leaders to provide day to day performance management guidance consistent with the organization policies, including coaching, counseling, managing poor performance, providing difficult performance management feedback and champion career development needs;


What you need to know:

  • You must successfully pass a Criminal Check.
  • Ability to anticipate changes required within the business and to drive such changes in
  • Demonstrated ability to consult, influence and partner with senior leaders in developing
  • Minimum 7 years of human resources consulting experience; CHRP designation is preferred
  • Has working knowledge of Labour and Canadian employment law, current HR trends and the
  • Information and/or in responding to inquiries;
  • Demonstrated relationship management skills at all levels of the organization;
  • Access to a reliable vehicle and valid G license is required for this role
  • Partnership with business leaders;
