As the Housekeeping Supervisor, you are responsible for assisting with providing a welcoming environment for our residents, employees, and visitors by ensuring our community is clean and cared for.

Responsibilities

• Maintains provincial compliance standards to ensure successful inspections
• Other duties as assigned to support operational requirements
• Conducts performance evaluations
• Recruitment of new team members as needed, including interviews
• Prepares a schedule
• Provides coaching and mentoring
• Promotes team building and engagement
• Identify and report any damages to maintenance team
• Ability to be decisive when dealing with difficult and/or crisis situations
• Interact with residents to resolve inquiries in a friendly, service-oriented manner
• Demonstrate awareness of accident and injury prevention, through safe work practices and procedures, including keeping housekeeping areas tidy
• Ensure the environment is safe and sanitary for staff and residents; makes efforts to reduce safety hazards, accidents, and injuries where possible
• Ordering cleaning supply stock
• Identify safety concerns through daily walk through and staff/resident updates

Qualifications And Experience

• Completion of Highschool Diploma is an asset
• Completion of CPR and First Aid is an asset
• Exceptional interpersonal skills with peers, residents, visitors, and operational partners
• Leadership experience in housekeeping setting is required
• Exceptional interpersonal skills with peers, residents, visitors and operational partners
• Superior oral and written communication skills
• Superior organizational skills
• Minimum three (3) years of residential/commercial cleaning is required
• Demonstrate the ability to prioritize and problem solve
• Superior organizational skills with the ability to handle fast paced environment
• Experience in an aging adults setting is an asset

• COVID-19 vaccination proof. This requirement may be waived if you have received an exemption through the provincial government.
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time, bend, squat, kneel and lift over 20 pounds
