Elements Casino Victoria

Elements Casino Victoria is a spacious facility with 750 slot machines, plus poker, blackjack, baccarat and roulette tables on beautiful Vancouver Island. This facility is equipped with a restaurant as well.

About This Role

At Elements Casino Victoria, we welcome our guests with a friendly smile and outstanding service. Our casino offers an exciting mix of table games and slot machines featuring a wide variety of game themes and denominations for our guests’ gaming entertainment. We are currently looking for an exciting individual who are looking to join us as a Dishwasher. Under the supervision of the Sous Chef, our Dishwasher is responsible for the cleanliness of all kitchen areas, culinary equipment and utensils including all dishes, glasses and pots/pans while contributing to a safe and welcoming work environment for all employees.

What You’ll Get to DO! (Key Accountabilities)

Organizing, rinsing, spraying and loading dishes/cutlery into dishwasher or washing by hand as required

Checking completed load for cleanliness and re-washing if necessary

Reporting any malfunctions, breakage or discrepancies to the supervisor

Storing all clean items in the appropriate area

Sorting and removing garbage and recycling

Cleaning all general kitchen areas including floors, counters and workspaces

Assisting with the receipt of goods into the work area and stocking shelves

Preparing some food products as requested

Liaising and communicating effectively with all appropriate operational departments

Developing and cultivating strong working relationships with all stakeholders (guests, ownership and employees)

Ensuring compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations

Performing other duties as assigned or directed

What you’ll need to be Successful! (Education and Qualification Requirements)

High School Diploma

A passion for providing a Great Experience and Memory to all guests, both external and internal

Work Environment Considerations

Regular casino environment, standing and walking for long periods of time, some elements of danger, some exposure to the elements, some exposure to noise, some exposure to verbal or physical abuse, non-traditional work hours.
