Job Summary:


Get ready for an exciting opportunity as the Head of the PMO at Central 1! We are seeking someone who can provide dynamic leadership and expert guidance to drive us towards the achievement of our business goals.


As the visionary leader of our Enterprise Project Management Office, you will take the lead in developing and implementing innovative project management methods and frameworks, specifically tailored to our product and software development lifecycle. With your unwavering commitment to excellence, you will set unprecedented standards, inspire and mentor our talented project managers, and ignite a transformative wave of continuous improvement across our project, program, and portfolio management practices. What you’ll be doing:


  • Tracking and managing resource allocation and utilization rates across individual projects and the overall portfolio, as well as project dependencies and risks, including issue escalation to stakeholders and leadership for visibility and resolution
  • Leading the Central 1’s overall project stage gate review process
  • Leading enterprise-wide portfolio prioritization reviews for all enterprise projects, including business projects with or without an IT component.
  • Developing vision and strategy for Central 1's EPMO governance, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
  • Maintaining and enhancing end-to-end portfolio governance aligned with annual planning and budgeting.
  • Having accountability for organization-wide EPMO policy compliance and performance monitoring, engaging leaders at all levels for delivery and portfolio governance oversight.
  • Establishing standards for SDLC deliverables including project management approaches and reporting.
  • Fostering career development opportunities for team members
  • Curating and promoting best practices, processes, templates, lessons learned, and historical project data, driving their adoption through effective change management
  • Establishing scoring systems to ensure project quality through evaluation and measurement of performance against predefined criteria.


What you’ll have:


  • 15+ years of project management, portfolio management, and project/program management office experience in the financial services sector, specializing in portfolio management and governance of large multi-million-dollar portfolios
  • Proficient in financial management at both program and project levels
  • Diplomatic approach in influencing stakeholders at all levels, fostering lasting relationships by mediating disagreements and negotiating agreeable solutions.
  • Proficient in project, product, and program lifecycles, employing various development models such as agile, waterfall, hybrid, and more.
  • Deep expertise in managing complex portfolios, including formalized programs, projects, and out-of-cycle requests, all while implementing industry best practices.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to facilitate executive-level discussions.
  • Extensive experience in developing comprehensive performance measures and metrics for evaluating program and project performance, encompassing objectives, strategies, cost, quality, schedule, resources, and return on investment.
  • Proven track record in project and portfolio management and consistently delivering successful outcomes through effective planning, execution, control, and closure
  • Leading enterprise-wide Project Management Offices (PMOs) strategic approaches, and effectively representing the EPMO to senior leaders while advocating for governance practices aligned with enterprise strategy and priorities.
  • Demonstrated expertise in developing detailed project plans, allocating resources, identifying risks, planning contingencies, assigning tasks, and optimizing resource planning efficiency.
