General Accountant Jobs

Recruitment Partners is currently seeking a General Accountant to join their client’s team. This role will ensure accurate and timely data on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis from our point-of-sales system, online sales platform, and Team Sales system to the final roll-up in QuickBooks. The successful candidate will prepare the month-end reconciliations of the various GL’s and work closely with the Finance Manager at Year End to prepare the working documents.
Your Success Will Be Defined By Your Ability To

• Other duties as required
• Respond to queries, reconciliation of payments and any issues related to general vendor payments
• May also assist with small-volume project billing and payment processing as requested
• Prepares bank deposits and subsequent cash receipt entries
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable timely and accurately
• Provides updates to various weekly departmental reports
• Maintains vendor listing database to ensure accurate data available for payment processing
• Provides clerical support, including filing, for the Accounting and Finance Department

Your strengths include:

• Post Secondary education is preferred
• Understanding of accounting principles, including maintenance of ledgers, cash flows, budgeting, and forecasting
• Detail oriented and with the ability to accurately prepare and enter financial information
• Intermediate skills using Microsoft Office Suite
• Knowledge of accounts payable and accounts receivable
• 3+ years of related experience required
• Knowledge and experience with accounting software
