Intermediate Accountant

Recruitment Partners is seeking an Intermediate Accountant to join our client’s team in Calgary. The successful candidate is responsible for acquiring and processing invoices, assisting in the reconciliation of accounts, and supporting the financial reporting process. If you are currently in pursuit of your CPA designation, and looking to expand the scope of your role within a dynamic, fast-paced industry, this role could be for you!

Your role:

• Verifies entries and comparing system reports to balances
• Prepares and submits weekly and monthly financial reports
• Assists senior accountant in preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual closings
• Process full billing cycle by generating, processing, verifying, reconciling invoices, and applying payments
• Assists with reviewing payroll records and expenses, among other duties as assigned.
• Ensures compliance with organizational guidelines and procedures, and federal and state regulations
• Allocates revenue to correct accounts according to departmental procedures
• Processes financial entries to ensure a proper recording of all business transactions.
• Ensuring outstanding balances are updated and accurate
• Maintains historical records of all invoices, reports, and payments

Your strengths include:

• CPA designation in progress is an asset
• Excellent report writing, communication and IT skills.
• Business or Accounting Diploma with a minimum of 3+ years’ of related experience
• Must have strong organizational and problem-solving skills, able to meet deadlines
