Our client in the manufacturing industry, located in Calgary is seeking a Fixed Asset Accountant for a 7-month contract. The Fixed Asset Accountant will be responsible for capital reporting including reconciliations between systems, WIP reconciliations, dealing with project closures, and capitalized interest. The Fixed Asset Accountant will also be responsible for quarterly reporting on capital spend and will work with external teams and internal leaders on communicating updates on capital reporting.

Requirements

MUST HAVES:

• Well-developed problem solving, organizational and analytical skills
• Thorough computer skills, including proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite of products
• The successful Fixed Asset Accountant will have an accounting designation and will ideally have a minimum of 2 years’ experience working in Fixed Assets
• Solid knowledge and working experience with Oracle is required
• Strong initiative and excellent communication skills
