Our Arcadis IBI Group Toronto West office is looking for an experienced Field Inspector.This role involves monitoring of construction to ensure compliance with contract requirements and following the projects QA procedures.

Most of the things you'll work on:

• Assist with issuing Progress Certificate
• Carry out field inspections for civil, structural and landscape components of the project to ensure that the project is executed in accordance to the contract requirements
• Assist with issuing Monthly Report
• Track daily field quantities
• Prepare Inspection reports

Qualifications

What you will need to have:

• Proven analytical, communication, and negotiation skills
• Ability to organize, prioritize and schedule work
• Minimum successful completion of three-year college program in a relevant engineering technology discipline, or the equivalent, combined with a minimum of seven years of directly related experience in large, multi-discipline, heavy construction projects; or
• Must be able to read and understand construction contract documents
• Registration with Professional Engineers Ontario as a P.Eng. or the ability to be registered
• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing, and be able to independently write reports and correspondence
• 7 years Construction and/or Design coordination experience on large linear infrastructure projects is the expected minimum
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• Knowledge and skill in interpreting and applying transportation construction practices; procedures and quality assurance techniques
