1St Shift Inspector (5:30A-2Pm)

We are looking for an Inspector for our Guelph facility. In this role you will receive and enter customer order information into the computer system, inspect and rack customer products. The Inspector will work in a self-directed capacity in a fast paced environment. The Inspector will work with a variety of customers to understand their ongoing product needs and translate those needs into workable specifications for teammates to follow. In performing the daily tasks, the individual will draw upon training and experience to make important front-end and back-end processing decisions. As part of the primary responsibilities, this individual will also ensure that once the customers’ products have been processed they are inspected for quality, re-packaged, and shipped accurately.

Your Responsibilities

• Inspect the finished product.
• Use various shipping software.
• Interact with customers and co-workers in a ‘customer-friendly’ manner.
• Pack customer parts for shipping.
• Post quantities being shipped into the computer system.
• Learn defixturing techniques.
• Use XRF equipment to document coating thickness.
• Receive and inspect customer product for processing.
• Visual inspection of tools for proper coating.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor/Management.
• Learn new skills and cross-train into various departments.
• Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribes safety regulations.
• Act as a member of the monthly ‘Quality Council’.
• Must conform to current health, environmental, and safety standards.
• Participate in continuous improvement activities.

Your Profile

• Must be proficient in ordering supplies via the internet.
• Commits to corporate core values, goals, mission and vision.
• Experience with MS Office.
• Must be able to lift 30lbs.
• Knowledge of industrial cutting tools (e.g. drills, etc.) preferred but not required.
• High School graduate or GED or equivalent experience.
• Indivdiual must have strong work ethic, be high-energy, and detail oriented.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• A positive attitude and willingness to work overtime when required.
