Job Description
At EFCO, we help those responsible for the construction of the world's concrete structures with a safe, reliable, and cost-efficient concrete formwork solution. We do this by engineering, designing, manufacturing, supplying and field servicing forming and shoring products for concrete construction.

This position goes beyond the traditional inspection duties and is very much a hands-on position as part of the paint department, it combines attention to detail while performing inspections, along with dexterity while performing the related manual labor tasks.


We are looking for a qualified candidate to join our team as an Inspector at our Georgetown, Ontario Canada facility. The shift is 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday with the possibility of overtime. The pay range is $26.84 - $31.65/hour depending on experience.


The successful applicant will inspect parts for dimensional accuracy and compliance with drawings, and stencil as required. The ability to read fabrication blueprints including weld symbols, perform quality audit checks, and complete reporting accurately is a requirement. The position will assist paint line department with other functions as time permits. Must be able to work safely, independently, and able to handle multiple priorities. Good communication skills are required. Experience with cranes and forklift trucks is an asset but will train suitable candidates.


Responsibilities & Duties


  • Inspect forms for bad or missing weld, proper part placement and dimensional accuracy.
  • Identify form with proper stencils and EFCO labels.
  • Clean work area daily.
  • Operate bulldozer to straighten forms as needed.
  • Perform other task as assigned by supervision.
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance.
  • Operate material handling equipment.
  • Keep foreman informed of trends in quality problems that develop.
  • Check forms for straightness and evaluate face sheet quality.
  • Replace stencils as needed.
  • Perform Quality Audit process.
  • Check forms for proper grinding, paint finish and cleanliness.
  • Keep daily record of the day's production, rework and scrap.
  • Stretch round column forms as needed.
  • Record labor on work order and timecard accurately.
  • Prep forms for painting as needed.


Machines, Tools, And Equipment Used


Successful applicant will also use the following tools and equipment to complete their assigned tasks: tape measure, square, shop drawings, EFCO labels, ink rollers, straight edge, column form stretcher, bulldozer, grinders, stencil machine, stencils, work order cards, material handling equipment, banding equipment, and others as assigned.


Education & Skill Requirements


  • Ability to read shop drawings and follow work order instructions.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to read both metric & imperial dimensions accurately on tape
