Field And Construction Site Inspector Jobs

Working knowledge of municipal standards and design requirements within the Province of Ontario and ability to read/interpret drawings.

Minimum 8+ years related civil construction field experience.

Coordinate and lead construction site meetings, prepare minutes and respond to inquiries from contract parties, agencies, and the general public.

1-3 years of experience in delivering superior customer service.

Ability to manage multiple client accounts.

Strong attention to detail and communication skills.

Experience in wholesale vehicle assessments.

Previous sales or dealership experience.

Knowledge of the automotive industry.

Experience driving manual transmissions is highly preferred

Have competency in the use and assessment of Safety Management System and procedures.

Ensure testing, measuring, welding, NDE equipment is fully calibrated per specification and has current certification.

Ensure storage and handling of welding consumables is per manufacturer’s recommendations / specifications and has a certification.

Verify Human Factor Engineering (HFE) requirement (accessibility of valve, field run piping) against specification.

Have knowledge of ISO and (or) API Q1 quality audit program and able to participate / perform /participate Quality Audit

Oversee inspection of mechanical equipment, piping, structure and welding activities conducted at shops and construction sites.

Work hand in hand with all regional territory managers and fill your weekly schedule with vehicle inspection volume

Automotive knowledge a huge plus

Vision abilities include close, distance, colour and depth perception

Excellent reading / writing skills as well as the ability to make sound decisions and exercise common sense

Visit dealerships to capture vehicle information & photos for upcoming EBlock auctions

Build, enhance, and nurture customer relationships to secure customer loyalty and increase volume of vehicle inspections

Proven time management skills and a strong attention to detail.

Experience: up to 4 years of relevant work experience required or equivalent experience through education.

Will be required to travel to customers facilities and carry out their job duties.

Education: High school Diploma (or equivalent) is required.

Post secondary education in cargo inspections or a related field would be highly desirable.

Demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication skills including grammar and composition.

Coordinate and undertake planning and implementation of survey requirements to facilitate construction activities.

Identifies and reports work that does not meet the quality requirements.

GPS (Global Station Positioning System) experience is considered an asset.

Past Underground confined space work or survey experience would be considered an asset.

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, knowledge of engineering design and survey methods would be considered an asset.

Good verbal and written communication skills

Knowledge and skill in interpreting and applying transportation construction practices; procedures and quality assurance techniques

7 years Construction and/or Design coordination experience on large linear infrastructure projects is the expected minimum

Proven analytical, communication, and negotiation skills
