As a Site Inspector, you will work in collaboration with the Civil Team
Your main responsibilities will be:
- Review materials and equipment conditions
- Ability to make decisions in the field with assistance from Englobe supervisor
- Review, develop and properly reference construction drawings
- Maintain an accurate materials list for progress payment
- Ensure safety protocols are met at all times
- Prepare daily summary reports
- Complete topographic surveys using a Total Station or GPS
- Communicate results effectively with onsite personnel, client, residents, stakeholders and Englobe supervisor
- Review shop drawings and confirm product delivery
- Record all field work for as-built drawing creation
- Utilize a construction level to verify elevations, grades, pipe slopes, etc.
- Inspect, survey, test and measure quality and quantity of materials, products, and installations according to specifications and construction drawings
- Ability to work extended hours to meet construction needs
- Experience with construction documents and specifications
- Able to work independently, and within a team, and utilize good judgement
- Minimum 3 years construction experience
- Knowledge and understanding of survey equipment
- Knowledge of Microsoft and AutoCAD software would be an asset
- Good communication skills, both oral and written
- Eng or PTech designation, other combinations of work and experience may be considered
- Self-motivated with the ability to motivate others
- Must have valid drivers license and reliable transportation
