We are looking for an Engineering Workforce & Operational Specialist to join our GTS URS Engineering organization in Toronto! We have approximately 500-600 Engineers comprised of System, Hardware and Software engineering, plus specialty engineering disciplines such as Cyber, Data, AI, Safety and RAMT.

You will be reporting to the Director of Engineering Operations & Digital Champion URS BL, supporting VP of Engineering, All Heads of Discipline and coordinate with Procurement, Operations, HR, Projects and Finance.

A key responsibility is to provide support to the Engineering Operations team and the wider Engineering Function for Operational manager such as Work load planning (Talent, Skills, and LFR), Budget Planning/Control/Monitoring and Procurement Support/Monitoring. You will be responsible to ensure that our process defined and efficient to achieve a high level of excellence in operation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinating with Heads of Discipline/Cost Centre owners, the current and consistent of LFR inclusive of out-sourced work
• Tracking and reporting all actions/issues, including update of discrepancies with HR, PMO, HoDs and others
• Adherence to Timesheet completion, cost code utilization and discrepancies, inclusive of Workday and ERP
• Ensure the tracking of Onboard/Off boarding of resources and the impacts on Work force planning
• Support Resource forecast for the projects and future order inputs for Engineering, and generate Business Intelligence LFR reports
• Develop and publish reports for Engineering Resource Management Review using HR and PMO inputs, Talent, Critical Skills and Training
• Develop and publish reports for Mood and Confidence
• Work Force Planning:

• Support the MYB Capture and Review, tracking all resulting actions (scheduling review, managing actions, managing versions and consolidated view).
• Develop and publish Engineering CAPEX and OPEX reports, and financial reports for Engineering Cost Centers on a regular basis
• Define and Manage the MYB construction process within Engineering (schedule, instruction, checklists)
• MYB and Budgets:
• Consolidate and track in Procurements for all Engineering Cost Centers, ensuring efficient process with collaborating functions (Legal, Procurement, Finances)

• Drive the Engineering Capitalization loop around our Engineering Operational Processes
• Coaching and Support Users on their usage of the Dashboard and support process for CC Management
• Work together with other members of the Engineering Discipline Management group (EDM), other members of the Engineering departments, the network of the Thales Engineering community, to identify opportunities for improvements in efficiency and quality that are enabled via the introduction of new engineering processes
• Drive the Business Intelligence Dashboards and Operational Excellence supporting Engineer efficiencies:
• Facilitate Engineering function’s continuous improvement initiatives by providing automation solutions using ETL to publish dashboard and KPIs
• Collaborate with PMO organization to update the Project Management WBS and CBS to facilitate the data extraction and analysis of engineering activities. Supporting MTB and Capitalization

Required Skills and Experience:

• Preferably experience with PowerBI or equivalent and business intelligence
• Preferably experience with ERP and procurement
• Preferably experience with Primavera P6 and planning
• Experience in project, operations, administration and/or finance management
• Excellent interpersonal and technical writing skills
• Competency is reporting and analysis

Preferred Skills and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree such as Engineering, Management or Finance
