AGS is hiring a Disability Management Consultant! Join a progressive company with a passionate, forward-thinking Team that fosters wellbeing for employees as well as claimants. In this role, you will manage complex disability cases in a pro-active manner with the goal of returning claimants to an optimal level of function, supporting early and safe return to work. In this position, you will:
- Uphold professional designations while also providing exemplary services to AGS customers.
- Liaise with medical treatment providers, employers, insurers and other organizations as needed to support claimants through the process of returning to work.
- Prepare communications for employees and employers for whom RTW and DM services are being provided, as prescribed by Operating Guidelines and/or service agreement with employer and or as directed by Manager/Team Lead.
- Follow established policies and procedures of AGS and service standards outlined by customers.
- Coordinate RTW with the claimant, as well as consider medical accommodations, in order to achieve favourable outcomes.
- Maintain up to date case management notes within online file management system.
- Manage absences to include Short Term/Weekly Indemnity/Salary Continuance for a variety of customers across Canada. Other claim types could include attendance management, stay at work, accommodation, and workers compensation.
- Develop, implement and monitor the progress of claimants, based on industry best practices.
- Maintain a manageable caseload of files from the Rehab & Employer Departments that will allow for ongoing understanding of the customer needs and AGS internal processes while also providing front line services in accordance with professional credentials, training and experience requirements.
- Maintain relationships with customers and address questions/inquiries in a timely manner
- Understand legislation, policies and procedures as well as collective agreements, as required.

Who you are
A consummate professional with a minimum 2 years’ experience in this field, including knowledge of applicable insurance legislation, policies and regulatory guidelines to deliver services/reports of the highest quality, in a timely manner and within with the scope of each referral.You are customer centric and strive to provide best-in-class service to clients, combined with superior communication, prioritization and organizational skills.
You excel working in a dynamic, collaborative and agile environment, always looking to innovate and grow with AGS.You are a team player with excellent interpersonal skills. You are comfortable in a fast paced environment and able to work within tight deadlines, delivering high quality results through your superior analytical skills, keen attention to detail and knack for problem solving.
