THE ROLE

Your key focus in this position will be to set, drive, motivate and manage the business units to achieve quarterly and annual goals as well as their corresponding metrics. You will also provide the founder, board and group executives, dashboard overviews of the progress, successes and opportunities for improvement across the various areas of the company. This position will entail maneuvering collaboration across the range of businesses with a vast array of c-level executives, including but not limited to areas of sales, finance, marketing, R and D, regulatory and operations. You will be well seasoned in data analytics, big data, market evaluation, and have good experience with retail sales data for CPG. You will be an excellent communicator with expertise in digital and technology transformation. You will have the responsibility to access data, evaluate and analyze data, and present insights based on your results. You will measure productivity, ROI, profitability, and other business critical objectives. You will be broadly measured by your ability to establish and implement clear goals and KPIs across the organization and lead performance management to high achievement and through to their completion.

You provide insights and recommendations as an independent evaluator of initiatives. You help collect, store, organize, and analyze data across all areas of the business to create a digital heartbeat of the organization's success.You are confident in your analysis, but collaborate with teams to ensure we achieve results. When we don't have the right data, you determine creative solutions to find ways to monitor success and ensure we grow.

The ability to think on your feet, exercise creative thinking and challenge resolution are key traits to being successful in this role. You know that inaccurate data can stifle an organization and you find the right balance between perfection and estimation to ensure we are accurate and quick in decision making. We are seeking someone who isn't afraid to get their hands dirty and enjoys diving into unknown territory where they are constantly developing new skills in different avenues. The expertise you have built will enable you to troubleshoot issues before they even happen and bring sound solutions to various problems as they arise - and quickly! You will be a valued confidant to the founder and the company's executives - their success relies heavily on you.

IMPACT

Within 3 months or your first 90 to 180 days you will:

• Assist in company annual planning and quarterly planning by identifying 5 critical goals for all partners.
• Select, install and set up real-time performance management / goal performance reporting dashboard and bring to life meeting systems planned and activated at all levels and detailed and alive project plans for all goals in organization. Launch quarterly goals at an all hands meeting.
• Develop routine frameworks to analyze market data in a routine way that enables you to identify opportunities in the market as well as open gaps when performance is lagging expectations.
• Create a data warehouse to store critical data that can be developed into a KPI tree for key quarterly objectives that can be tracked weekly and monthly
• Implement and execute a format which allows weekly 60 minute dashboard reporting into the founder, board and group of executives, providing a snapshot overview of the progression of goals against KPIS, as well as suggestions for areas of opportunities and improvements

Core Responsibilities

• Use AI tools to improve business processes and efficiencies through technology
• Evaluate project plans and schedules with clear metrics to track project success
• Provide project updates to executives on a consistent & continuous basis
• Scope and define SMART goals for the business units, providing guidance for all other goals to provide a clear path to these goals
• Report, flag and help the team work through solutions on project challenges as necessary
• Partner with the executive team to evaluate market opportunities with robust automated data processes that identify key insights.
• Measure performance and track projects using appropriate software
• Analyze & monitor project progress & performance to optimize strategies for efficient completion
• Work closely with strategic leadership across PMO platforms to own data and results for each pillar with clear data tracking for all PMO

Requirements

• Strong strategic planning and financial and business acumen
• 3+ years of experience in an early-stage startup or hyper-growth of a brand or group of brands (growth 100%+ per year)
• Experience working in a diverse and cross functional team
• Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Accredited, Total Quality Management (TQM) Certified, or similar
• Strong oral and written communication skills and ability to challenge the status quo
• 3-7 years experience in CPG data analytics and/or insights including Neilson/IRI data
• Ability to develop and deploy initiatives by influence
• Meticulously organized - you make use of Gantt charts, pert, timelines, official project management and project portfolio management software.
• Extremely detailed and organized
• Bachelor's in Business Administration, Math, Engineering, or applicable field
• Ability to deal with ambiguity and work in a dynamic, results-oriented matrixed environment
• Ability to work autonomously and take accountability working independently
• Expert proficiency in Microsoft O365, G Suite, Mac, et al. and implementing technology to make the team more efficient and effective
• Ability to pivot quickly, stay calm under pressure and streamline processes in a fast paced, high growth, and chaotic environment
• Experience partnering with founder/exec/entrepreneur to manage and organize executives and executive teams for peak performance in a multi-business structure
• Strong willed individual who is assertive and results oriented
• Able to work in PST. Flexible hours occasionally working late or weekends when necessary.
• Experience establishing and implementing initiative tracking systems and databases

Compensation

We offer a competitive base salary with an additional lucrative profit share program. A generous options package will also be provided in this role so that you participate in short-, medium- and long-term liquidity events in our organization. Full medical benefits will be provided along with paid vacation and an additional week off between Christmas and New Year's.
