Job Description
OPPORTUNITY - HEAD OF BUSINESS INSIGHTS
  • Be a key player in strategy development/decisions by identifying, evaluating, and presenting data and analytics and creating actionable insights
  • Lead the organization in following the principle of "Measure What Matters"
  • Champion and rally the organization around business intelligence
  • Develop, set, and innovate on a strategy for using data to drive intelligent decisions and ultimately improve effectiveness and profitability
  • Develop dashboards and reports used by the business
  • Help build and iterate on the KPIs that drive company measurement, reporting, and analytics
  • Advance the organization by developing algorithms to build models that uncover connections and make better decisions
  • Help produce executive level and board decks based on data insights
  • Work cross functionally with the leaders of the business to understand the challenges of each department + provide the appropriate data and analytics
  • Partner with the engineering team to implement data insight strategies
  • Analyze data to determine areas for improvement in company processes
  • Drive a culture of data informed decision making across the organization
  • As the business grows, be capable of managing a team of analysts and data scientists who provide regular and ad hoc analyses to all relevant internal team
ABOUT YOU
  • Bachelors and ideally advanced degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Statistics
  • Strong ability to advocate for new ways of managing + transforming change using data
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in a startup, technology, marketplace, or consultancy environment (travel industry is a plus!)
  • Experience working in cloud-based data stack
  • Knowledge of DataBase management, MongoDB, Looker, Tableau, PowerBI, Qlikview, Plotly, DataStudio, etc.
  • 3+ years of management experience in analytics/BI or similar role
