The Role
We are looking for an experienced and creative health sector management consulting leader who wants to be part of a growing and dynamic firm focused exclusively on health care and serving the Canadian digital health marketplace.
You have a have a passion for helping clients solve some of the most pressing challenges of our time by adopting technology and emerging solutions. You are a team player with key responsibilities within and across a broad range of digital health services.
You will lead client projects, business development activities, and prepare and deliver high-quality proposals. You have demonstrated skills and experience working within the Canadian health system and have demonstrated subject matter expertise in digital health services, including digital health strategy, care model innovation, data and analytics, cloud, interoperability and back office transformation in health care.
Key Responsibilities
The Director will be responsible for, but not limited to, client engagement, project management, business development, account management, proposal writing and other operational activities:
- Leading Client Projects / Project Teams and delivering high-quality work products that meet client needs.
- Advising and supporting Senior Leaders to innovate, identify business opportunities, think creatively, and deliver value through insights, partnership, and strategic alliances.
- Contributing to all aspects of building a practice through business development, client & community engagement with a focus on our brand.
- Leading proposal and RFP coordination, facilitating proposal strategy meetings and preparing responses/presentation materials to ensure consistency and adherence to proposal/RFP requirements.
- Keeping current on leading and best practices and trends in healthcare and digital health.
- Managing and cultivating relationships with Service Line Leaders and One Nordic colleagues.
- Supporting account management and business development activities.
Skills and Experience
- Ability to work independently as well as within a team environment.
- Knowledge of or experience with Innovation Management, Human Centered Design, and Strategic Change and Culture is an asset.
- 10+ years’ experience in Digital Health or working with/for a professional services firm serving within Canada or a combination of Canadian and global experience.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to organize and prioritize tasks and effective time management.
- Ability to organize multiple responsibilities while meeting the needs of clients, project teams, leadership & management, business partners, and other.
- Bachelor’s degree in Science/Health Discipline, Engineering, Technology / IT, Computer Science, Business Administration, Commerce, or a related field – a graduate degree is an asset.
- Experience directly managing client accounts within a consulting environment; proven track record of leading a team to deliver results.
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
- Proficiency in English required, bilingual (French – English) is considered an asset.
- Experience in effective direct people management.
- Ability to work well under pressure and within time constraints.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to use data to optimize performance and inform future strategies.
- Experience with modern technologies (e.g., EHR/EMR, Cloud, Data / Analytics, ERP, IOT) and their applications within the health sector.
- Industry certifications considered an asset: PMI (PgMP/PMP/CAPM)/Prince2/Six Sigma (Green/Black/Master Black Belt), Agile Certification/Agile Coach (CSM, SAFe, PMI-ACP), ITIL, COBIT, other.
- Must demonstrate and embody Nordic maxims.
