With our unique method incorporating the science of memory, psychology, and education, we helped numerous students and schools. Our brands are in the US and Canada. Our main market is the US.

About the role

We are looking for a passionate, enthusiastic, and creative marketing /sales director to join us. The focus is DIGITAL MARKETING.

The candidate will be responsible for all marketing efforts, leading to sales. This is NOT a sales position. We are a small team, 3-4 people, therefore you will be rolling up your sleeves and make everything happen. You will take ownership of all marketing! This also comes with the challenge of not having others to lean on, and thinking of the companies survival and growth (until large companies).

The candidate will be in charge, A to Z for marketing. We never had an official marketing position. It is me (founder) and director of Ops, and everyone who contributed to marketing. This requires talent and passion to mold an entire marketing department, coordinate all the brands.

Current situation

We market through:

-School digital and printed mail marketing (sending brochures and free study guides)

-Provide school demo for faculties

-Provide free student accounts (to grow the brands first)

-Posts in FB groups

-Limited FB ads

-Limited Google ads

Sales target

There will be a sales target to meet according to our 3, 10-year plan. Score cards are reviewed weekly, quarterly, yearly.

Must be comfortable shooting for targets.

Marketing responsibility

·Conduct market and competition research

·Create FB ads and Google Ads (continue current efforts)

·Maximize on-site marketing through optimization of SEO, lead magnets, UI/UX etc.

·Integrate systems (FB, Google, blog, etc.) with existing learning management platforms

·Review current marketing efforts, find winning and losing strategies, and plan for the future (includes email, lead magnets, social media, branding, SEO, etc.)

·Teach our VA how to execute mail campaigns, blog uploads, etc.

·Continuous revision and optimize our marketing efforts

·Create partnerships (schools, sponsors, products, etc.)

·Ensure our customers get to their “yes” moment

·Incorporate social media influencer strategy

·Understand a strategy to incorporate software if needed (example, CRM)

·Create a school marketing plan (B2B, but most of our marketing is B2B)

·Discover customer profile

·Experiment with referral program


The current challenges

1.The product is simple and needed. For example, a practical nursing student must pass certain examinations to start working. However, the challenge is that we are relevant to our audience only for a very short window of their lives: 3-6 months before they graduate or take the exams. If we miss that window of opportunity, they will never be our customers.

2.Vertical integration of product/services. For example, with thousands of students studying with us, what other offerings can we provide? What support can we provide to extend the life a customer? That’s why we have the continuing education platform, but a lot more can be done.

3.Claire, founder is a memory champion and is writing books on learner’s anxiety, studying skills, etc. How can we use the book to grow the brand? I am also planning to make youtube videos to spread the message and this will become a project that requires a lot of time, money, and effort. We will probably grow a separate brand around Claire.

4.Our most successful product is StudentRDH. However, we the competition is always on our minds. Although we capture the majority of the market, we need to stay relevant. We have not put enough efforts into upkeep with brand image. As you may see, it is starting to look dull.

  • Ability to work with sales target, and creating them
  • Ability to understand the demographic we are targeting
  • Proficiency in CRM, email marketing, SEO, blog, our learning management system (you can learn that)
  • Curious and creative in your approach; inspired and driven by innovation

Qualifications

·10+ years of experience in marketing/sales or any type of work that makes you a good fit

·Confident and mature attitude (you will speak to program directors, deans, etc., who can be intimidating)
