Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and experienced Director of Data Strategy to join our team and shape the future of our data-driven decision-making processes.


Job Overview


As the Director of Data Strategy, you will establish and lead the long-term strategic direction of EA, ensuring that we leverage data to make evidence-based decisions to achieve growth. You will report into the Senior Director of Strategic Planning. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams, including game development, corporate strategy, Data & Analytics, EADP and Marketing Analytics to identify opportunities to grow data use and implement data-driven initiatives that enhance our games' performance and player engagement.


Responsibilities


  • You occupy a visible leadership position at EA running the strategy process for data teams. You will work with the executive management team to ensure execution of the long-term data strategy for EA through tight linkage between strategy and operational and financial plans
  • You develop, evaluate, structure, and help negotiate value-creating growth opportunities (i.e., mergers, acquisitions and partnerships)
  • You help identify key metrics and data points to measure and analyze progress against the data strategy..
  • You will develop and track "early warning signals" for changes in business conditions
  • You ensure a credible, organized and efficient planning process.
  • You develop a comprehensive data strategy that aligns with our overall goals and support data-driven decision-making across all departments.
  • You help identify opportunities to drive the business through use of our data, staying up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to drive adoption of creative data solutions.


Qualifications


  • Experience with data-related technologies, industry trends, and best practices.
  • Proven experience in a leadership role focused on data strategy
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate our requirements into data-driven solutions.
  • Experience in institutionalising strategy
  • 10+ years experience in corporate development, business development, corporate strategic planning, or investment banking, management consulting
  • Ability to convey complex ideas to all stakeholders.
  • You can work well with senior executives, including VPs, C-Suite and BOD
  • Bachelor's OR Master's degree in a related field such as data science, computer science, statistics, or business analytics.
  • Strong understanding of data analytics, statistical modeling, and machine learning techniques
  • Interest in and passion for gaming
  • Knowledge of the video game industry, gaming platforms, and gaming trends is a plus.


Us Compensation And Benefits


The base salary ranges listed below are for the defined geographic market pay zones in these states. If you reside outside of these locations, a recruiter will advise on the base salary range and benefits for your specific location.


EA has listed the base salary ranges it in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in the locations listed, as of the time of this posting. Salary offered will be determined based on numerous relevant business and candidate factors including, for example, education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, and business or organizational needs.


BASE SALARY RANGES


  • California (depending on location e.g. Los Angeles vs. Sacramento):


º $178,100 - $271,700


  • New York (depending on location e.g. Manhattan vs. Buffalo):


º $166,700 - $271,700


  • Jersey City, NJ:


º $201,800 - $271,700


  • Colorado (depending on location e.g. Denver vs. Colorado Springs):


º $166,700 - $227,900


  • Washington (depending on location e.g. Seattle vs. Spokane):


º $166,700 - $258,200


Base salary is just one part of the overall compensation at EA. We also offer a package of benefits including paid time off (3 weeks per year to start), 80 hours per year of sick time, 16 paid company holidays per year, 10 weeks paid time off to bond with baby (following 1 year of service), medical/dental/vision insurance, life insurance, disability insurance, and 401(k) to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
