ABOUT THE ROLE:
This is an advanced role, requiring a blend of knowledge across media execution, performance marketing, and analytics. This role will have daily interaction with members of our clients' Performance Marketing Team, bringing the strategic vision of their media plans to life, and interaction with our clients' Corporate Media team, driving higher-level conversations based on insights across campaigns. The Director is someone who has an entrepreneurial spirit, a mind for improving how we do what we do, and broad knowledge across programmatic, paid search, social, and content syndication, webinar creation, and additional various site direct executions. Establishing self-sufficiency and command over the business to allow for outside-the-box thinking and new ways of working to be applied to the business/agency at large. Familiarity with agile program management, a passion for data fidelity, and a strong collaborative spirit are all essential aspects of what it takes to be successful.
YOUR IMPACT:
You will be managing products across multiple campaigns, ensuring that the clients' media strategies are executed flawlessly, working with media planning teams to ensure the flawless execution of each campaign, troubleshoot any blockers or issues, and steward the campaign through kickoff, optimization, and wrap-up. You'll work with Performance Media, clients daily, and you'll assist in managing the media planning, programmatic, social, and paid search teams. We'd like you to be familiar with the best industry practices of biddable media, including paid search, programmatic, and paid social. You'll understand the core concepts behind media optimization and analytics, have knowledge of A/B and multivariate testing, and know how to pull intelligence from raw data, which will drive execution for our clients.
In addition to your campaign responsibilities, you'll be responsible for owning higher-level work streams across the business, creating overall strategy and direction for the various products, new partner vetting and onboarding, FTC compliance, and Notice & Choice, creating POV's, sharing insights and progress to our clients.
  • Developing and delivering clear measurement plan against key success metrics in collaboration with analytics and planning teams
  • Identify channels and tactics that align with brand and acquisition strategies, and that will deliver performance-based outcomes – leveraging unified strategy where possible to maximize impact against the target audience
  • Leverage data and research to design audience-first, adaptive strategies that reach and connect with high-value audiences across their journey (brand to acquisition); strategies should be broadly applicable to ultimately deliver against clear and measurable global, regional, and local KPIs
System and Tools:
  • Maintain a strong familiarity, if not outright expertise, with Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and macros
  • Solid knowledge of search marketing tools, popular programmatic trading desks, social platforms, tracking and tagging methods, and various analytic packages
Client and Partner Leadership in Digital:
  • Ability to work with analytics team to pull key insights from media activity
  • Mindset towards process optimization, both through manual processes and through technology
  • Client management skills to interact with stakeholders at multiple levels in the media planning process
  • Connect the "greater picture" through new ways of going to market
  • Collaborate with analytics teams to develop clear and measurable KPIs – optimized across a time continuum of real-time to longer-term depending on KPI and methodology
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to identify a problem and jump in to find a resolution
  • Ability to work with tight deadlines and on multiple projects, demonstrating a mature ability to handle multiple things at once under pressure
  • Ability to pull key insights for clients on ways to improve campaigns & highlight trends/takeaways across the campaign
Organizational and Team Leadership:
  • Contribute to the team or organizational knowledge (case studies, best practices, knowledge sharing, etc.)
  • Contribution to internal team meetings
  • Managing the relationships between brand partner agencies (i.e. Creative, in-house services) and the client to achieve solutions for client issues
  • Exemplifying collaboration by building and maintaining productive relationships across all communications areas in a highly matrixed environment (implementation teams, client, agency partners, media vendors)
  • Maintaining insightful knowledge of client businesses, competitors, and marketplace
  • Serving as a role model to all those with whom you come into contact
  • Guidance and development of the junior staff on your team
  • Contribution to agency task forces/projects or initiatives
  • Driving best practice sharing across account(s) and agency, ensuring respective efficiency and effectiveness

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 8+ years of experience in digital Paid Media, with a focus on strategy, execution and client management
  • Exercising broad-based organizational leadership including the Management, Training & Mentorship of team/direct reports
  • Developing strong client relationships including client mapping, relationship management, and issue resolution/action plans
  • Developing and nurturing ongoing partnerships between Key Client and Media partners and media/technology partners
  • Fostering an environment that inspires, encourages collaboration and curiosity, and proactivity
Compensation Range: $130,000 - $150,000 per Annum
