Customer Service and Administrative role
Russell Jones Mfg. Inc. (DBA: Neon Mfg.)
This is a work from home position, but you must live in the greater Vancouver, BC area. Applicants from outside the greater Vancouver area will not be considered.
Neon Mfg. was founded in 2014 and is a leading international manufacturer and retailer of custom neon signs and other custom illuminated signage products. The production of custom made neon signs is the main focus of our business and we are looking for the right person to join our team, mainly focused on customer service and administration for custom sign production. As part of our expansion plan, Neon Mfg. is looking for a versatile and innovative Customer Service and Administrative person with strong interpersonal, leadership, time management and organizational skills to join our team.
Job duties include:
- Submitting custom neon sign designs to the factory for pricing.
- Submitting shipment tracking information to our website so tracking emails get sent out.
- Reply to custom neon sign inquiry emails with price quotes and/or answers to customer questions
- Submitting custom orders and website orders to the factory for production.
- Creating custom neon sign order invoices for our customers.
- Submitting design requests to our graphic designers if needed.
- Maintain all systems in accordance to the prescribed standards in order to ensure smooth functioning at all times.
- Reply to customer service emails.
- Organize office operations and procedures such as records keeping, flow of correspondence, organizing of digital files, etc.
- Train new employees on company policies and procedures
- Oversee and co-ordinate office administrative procedures and review, evaluate and implement new procedures.
- Establish work priorities, delegate work to support staff, and ensure any deadlines are met and procedures are followed
Job requirements and skills:
- Self-motivated and accountable
- Proven work experience in customer service and administrator or similar role
- Detail-oriented with the ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines
- Strong organization skills with a problem-solving attitude
- Strong organizational skills
- Strong communication and writing skills. Position is mainly email based.
- Experience in dealing with factories or working for companies that produce custom made products is a bonus, but not required.
- Basic graphic design knowledge or interest in graphic design is a bonus, but not required.
Job Type: full-time, permanent
Work Location: Work from home. Training will be in person at a location TBD.
Computer will be provided
Work hours: Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm
Paid on the job training provided (1 month, August 2023)
