Cost Accountant - 80-100K + Bonus

Are you an experienced Cost Accountant in the Waterloo Region?

Our client, a growing manufacturing organization is looking for a Cost Accountant to join their team to replace an individual who is retiring after being with the organization for over 20 years! You'll play a pivotal role ensuring that costs are within budget and driving operational excellence. This role is based on working onsite.

In this role, you will be:

- working with Operations and R&D for estimates on new and existing products

- inventory analysis

- assisting with implementation of cost savings initiatives

- using your analytical skills to identify areas of opportunity

- presenting information in a simplified manner to ensure all departments are on board

- maintaining effective and open communication with all departments

What do you bring to the table?:

- you already possess, or, are working towards your CPA

- ideally experience working within the food/pharma industry

- highly analytical and detail oriented

- minimum of 3 years experience within a manufacturing environment

- strong prioritization skills

- experience working with a variety of computer accounting software and proficiency with the full suite of Microsoft Office products, especially Excel

- able to plan and hold meetings that engage attendees

- high level of initiative
