Senior Project Accountant - Madarin Speaking Is A Plus *

Role: Senior Project Accountant (Construction Experience Required *)

Responsibilities

· Full cycle Accounting duties including AR & AP & GL reconciliation

· Preparing monthly HST filing, bank reconciliations, and petty cash receipt entries.

· Prepare and submit monthly construction draws reports of residential construction projects

· Assemble and ensure all project payable invoices are validated for completeness

· Maintain construction project cost ledgers

· Maintain monthly construction budgets

· Review, analyze, and reconcile balances between cost ledger and budget

· Effectively communicate with the senior management, project construction team, supporting staff, contractors, suppliers, and developers to resolve questions and issues that may arise.

· Other duties as required

Qualifications

· Post Secondary education in accounting

· Minimum 1 year working experience in construction, real-estate developer, and related industry

· Solid knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting technical skills (Canadian accounting standards for private enterprises (ASPE)

· Must have a strong understanding of accounting principles and concepts.

· Computer literacy and experience with Quickbooks and Microsoft Office is required.

· Understands the value of confidentiality.

· Exceptional attention to detail and high degree of accuracy without supervision.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
