Description


The Salesforce Commercial Legal Team delivers innovative, trusted, industry-leading legal services that provide a smooth and efficient contracting process for our customers and our internal stakeholders while advancing and protecting Salesforce. Our legal support model is designed to create a fulfilling work environment for all members of our legal family. Salesforce is hiring a Contracts Analyst to join our Commercial Legal team to handle routine requests for legal support from Salesforce’s U.S. Sales organization. This position can be located in Vancouver, Denver, Dallas or remote.


Responsibilities


  • Please note this is not a practicing counsel role. This is a great opportunity for a non-attorney to move their career!
  • Draft contract terms for inclusion on Order Forms
  • Respond to requests from Sales teams and customers on legal issues and concerns
  • Help support other legal team members with a wide range of matters
  • Draft standard operating procedures
  • Contribute to canned responses, FAQs and knowledge libraries to address common queries
  • Collaborate with internal partners including Sales, Revenue Recognition, Sales Operations, Pricing and other teams to support processes for contracting and order processing
  • Conduct various legal projects and other duties as assigned.
  • Update content libraries
  • Review, negotiate and revise assignment agreements, divestiture agreements, non-disclosure agreements, pilot agreements and other customer contracting documents
  • Review and Approve Order Forms
  • Manage resolution of contract fee disputes and early terminations


Required Skills/Experience


  • 2+ years hands on experience working with contracts in a law firm or company legal department
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Google Docs and interest in and aptitude for learning new technologies
  • Thrives in a fast-paced work environment
  • Undergraduate degree required
  • Desire to work in a high-energy, sales-oriented culture and the ability to adapt in a quickly changing business environment with a large volume of deals and expected quick turnaround times
  • Strong collaboration and people skills
  • Experience managing and/or drafting and negotiating simple contracts;
  • Detail oriented
  • Highly responsive and service-oriented attitude


Desired Skills


  • Experience in and/or knowledge of the software and internet industries a plus, especially in Cloud Computing
  • Experience with contract management systems a plus
