Experience with contract management systems a plus

Experience in and/or knowledge of the software and internet industries a plus, especially in Cloud Computing

Manage resolution of contract fee disputes and early terminations

2+ years hands on experience working with contracts in a law firm or company legal department

Experience managing and/or drafting and negotiating simple contracts;

Form contracts and administer effective management of vendor, contractor and supplier relations

Current SCMP or related Supply Chain Management designation

Proactively manage supplier relationships, fostering open communication, setting clear expectations, and providing valuable feedback on performance

Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, such as Engineering, Operations, and Quality Assurance, to align procurement activities with project requirements

5+ years of related industry experience in procurement

Ideally 10 years’ experience in a similar role.

Excellent oral and written communication skills.

In-depth knowledge of procurement regulations, contract documents, and legal specifications.

Established knowledge of terms and conditions with the ability to negotiate and draft contractual language.

Negotiate contract agreements for technical service.

Assess contractor performance to identify the need for amendments of existing contracts.

Must have SAP experience & IT contract term knowledge

Create and issue/manage purchase orders

Able to understand and negotiate IT contracts while translating/documenting business risk for clients

Sr SCM Analyst (IT/Corp procurement and contracts) (Buyer/Contracts Analyst combo position)

Typically 5+ years of contract formation and management experience with a university degree or related post-secondary education

Experience with contract management systems

Actively contribute to vendor development and robust supplier relationship management programs, fostering strong partnerships and driving continuous improvement

Foster seamless collaboration with cross-functional teams, including Legal, Finance, and Operations, ensuring contractual alignment and compliance with established requirements

Desire to pursue or completion of a Supply Chain Management Professional designation is considered an asset

Functional experience in the negotiation and management of clinical study budgets and research grants, including knowledge of grant principles and practices.

Knowledge of financial management, including basic accounting principles and practices, preferably in health research administration.

Ensures compliance with internal requirements for sign off of contracts based on Fraser Health policy.

Verifies accuracy of invoices by checking items such as quantities, prices, taxes, extensions, discounts and freight charges for data entry.

Prepares cheque requests and invoices for Manager approval, in accordance to established procedures.

Experience with computerized accounting and timekeeping systems and procedures.

Degree in Law, Finance, Contracts Management, Supply Chain, Engineering, Business Administration, or equivalent discipline.

Identifies and proposes improvements to existing contract management procedures.

Assists the Contracts Manager / Contracts Team Lead, Legal Support Centre as required.

Contract negotiation experience, supply or client contracts.

3 to 5 years of relevant work experience in the area of commercial contracts.

In-house or law firm experience preferred, but not required.
