Contracts Analyst – Major Projects Jobs

Experience with contract management systems a plus

Experience in and/or knowledge of the software and internet industries a plus, especially in Cloud Computing

Manage resolution of contract fee disputes and early terminations

Contribute to canned responses, FAQs and knowledge libraries to address common queries

2+ years hands on experience working with contracts in a law firm or company legal department

Experience managing and/or drafting and negotiating simple contracts;

Comprehensive knowledge of project management principles and methodologies.

Additionally in this role, you will build on your education and career experience as you:

Five (5) to seven (7) years’ recent related experience in managing, leading and directing facilities projects in a complex institutional environment

Knowledge of capital project planning and implementation processes including design, construction and procurement within current standards, codes, bylaws and regulations.

Demonstrated ability to effectively manage planning, design and construction projects simultaneously.

Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design or Engineering related field

Advanced project management skills including demonstrated effectiveness in planning and coordinating major projects from conceptual design through construction completion.

Comprehensive knowledge of health care and relevant government procedures, standards and requirements.

Ability to productively use word processing, spreadsheet, database, and project management software.

Broad knowledge of the planning and construction processes associated with facilities development.

Strong negotiation, interpersonal and communication skills.

Determines staff complement of assigned area/department and selects, directs, supervises and evaluates staff to ensure effective performance of duties;

Comprehensive knowledge of project management principles and methodologies and ability to coach team members on these skills.

Experience on multi phase project implemented using Construction Management and/or Design Build deliveries will be an asset.

Demonstrated knowledge of capital project budget control and related financial management.

Progressive senior management leadership roles overseeing the design and construction of major facilities project, in a large complex organization; and

An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be acceptable.

Manages contracts awarded to consultants, contractor and other vendors to ensure compliance and intent.

Supply Chain Management Professional designation and experience in large-scale projects and project delivery models would be an asset.

Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and sound judgment to manage complex procurement strategies.

Manage operating budget as assigned, and provide budgetary information, as well as information on lead times and costs to Major Projects.

Outstanding strategic-thinking skills to drive efficient delivery of resources and execution of projects.

Exceptional interpersonal and teamwork skills to collaborate cross-functionally and ensure the success of large-scale projects.

Provide process and quality oversight to ensure compliance with corporate policies and procedures, industry standards, applicable metrics, and service-level agreements.

Form contracts and administer effective management of vendor, contractor and supplier relations

Current SCMP or related Supply Chain Management designation

Proactively manage supplier relationships, fostering open communication, setting clear expectations, and providing valuable feedback on performance

Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, such as Engineering, Operations, and Quality Assurance, to align procurement activities with project requirements
