Our dynamic Corporate Communications team is looking for a motivated communications specialist to play a key role in helping the team achieve its objectives and Purolator reach its strategic goals.


What You’ll Do


In this role you’ll be involved with supporting the entire Corporate Communications function, including writing and creating content for a variety of channels, such as social media content, media materials and web content. You will also support media monitoring, content calendar development and vendor management activities.


You Will


  • Provide administrative support and help with external vendor management and invoice processing and tracking.
  • Create, post and report on content for external and internal digital platforms. (e.g., website, internal corporate intranet and social media platforms)
  • Support the design of presentations and maintain communications templates and distribution lists.
  • Assist the Corporate Communications team with planning and executing communications programs and initiatives that support the organization’s strategic pillars.
  • Support the development and distribution of external communication materials, including customer-facing materials.

You Must Have


  • Customer-focus orientation.
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills for print and online communication.
  • Ability to work on multiple tasks (strong time management skills) in a high-energy, high-demand, team-oriented environment.
  • Graphic design capabilities and proficiency in Adobe suite of products (specifically, InDesign, Acrobat, Photoshop) is an asset.
  • Experience in social media calendar and content development.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to multi-task, determine priorities and work under pressure of deadlines.
  • Excellent organizational skills and an acute eye for detail.
  • A positive energy and a great attitude.
  • A passion for going the extra mile to deliver great results.
  • Excellent computer skills (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • Strong communication skills – both written and verbal.


Education


  • Post-secondary education required, ideally in corporate communications, public relations, or journalism.


Experience


  • Writing, producing and distributing communications materials for different communications channels and stakeholder groups.
  • Working with internal business partners to achieve communications goals.
  • Two to three years’ experience working in corporate communications.
  • Social media.
