Our client is an industry-leading manufacturer of custom Fixtures and Millworks Products for Retail Stores and Institution's clientele. Since its establishment in 1976, the company has earned an enviable reputation for excellence in craftsmanship, reliability and efficiency. The client has partnered with Randstad Engineering in their search for a Mechanical CNC Programmer, to add to their team.

Senior Programmer from our industry (custom millwork in the Commercial sector).
5 years of experience in a Programming position in our industry is a minimum requirement.
Microvellum software use of any length would be a huge plus, but not mandatory.

Responsibilities
Summary of position
Under the supervision of the Programming Manager, the candidate is responsible to create panel saw programs, and CNC programs to support Production. Applicant must be able to interpret released for fabrication shop drawings and provide all the supporting documents for production. These production documents include but are not limited to cut lists, production drawings, CNC programs, etc.
Main Responsibilities

• Create Solid works/SWOOD models based on shop drawings
• Provide production data for machine operators
• Communicate with the department heads and CNC operators during assignments and resolution of machining, production, or quality issues
• Create supplementary production drawings to support production
• Create CNC programs and cut lists
• Work with production to complete projects
• Work in a fast-paced environment
• Must meet scheduled deadlines
• Create Microvellum models based on shop drawings

Software Requirements

• Microvellum (preferred 3 years+)
• 5 Axis (considered as an asset)
• AutoCAD (required 5 years+)

Qualifications
Education

• Trade Certificate in Millwork an asset
• Post-secondary education in Mechanical Engineering or similar preferred;

Work Experience

• Experience required with custom millwork programming (6 years+)

Other Qualifications

• Able to work proficiently with mm (metric) and knowledgeable in Imperial
• Understand proper usage of connectors (dowels, lock dados, etc.)
• Knowledge of AWMAC is an asset
• Understand proper usage of hardware for cabinets (hinges, sliders, pulls, etc.)
• Ability to communicate (in writing, verbal, and schematic)
• Familiar with cabinet fabrication techniques
• Ability to work in a team environment
