Hours: Afternoons - Mon-Thurs 3:00pm-12:00am and Friday 10:00am-2:00pm (They'll start on days for training before launching the afternoon shift in Sept/Oct this year.)

Pay Rate: $35.77/hour

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our client's manufacturing team in Burlington, ON. As a CNC Machinist, you will be responsible for setting up and operating multiple axis CNC machines to produce high-quality parts. Your expertise in editing programs, adjusting offsets, and interpreting engineering drawings will ensure precision and adherence to specifications. This full-time role offers a competitive salary of $35.77 per hour and an opportunity to work in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Detailed :

• Edit programs and adjust offsets as necessary, with some supervision.
• Set up and operate multiple axis CNC machines to produce parts to specification.
• Train other CNC employees on various CNC machines, Fanuc controls, tools, and operations.
• Adhere to machine maintenance schedules to ensure optimal performance.
• Follow all safety policies and guidelines to maintain a secure work environment.
• Follow instructions from the CNC Supervisor, Manager, or VP of Production for machining parts scheduled for jobs, service, or repair.
• Support the CNC Supervisor, Manager, or Production Manager in meeting production control timelines.

Candidate's Profile: To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and skills:

• Strong focus on safety and environmental practices.
• Knowledge of G code and ability to interpret engineering drawings and blueprints.
• Demonstrated history of good attendance.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in machine setup and operation of CNC machines.
• 5 years of CNC machine experience; experience with Fanuc controls preferred.
• Proficiency in 5-axis CNC milling and lathe machines.
• Exceptional teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues.
• Legal eligibility to work and reside in Canada.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Proficiency with measuring equipment, such as calipers, gauges, and micrometers.
• Additional training qualifications in CNC Machining are an asset.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Solid math skills, including understanding of geometry and trigonometry.
• Ability to adjust, operate, and set up machines and tools to produce parts according to blueprints.
