Your Opportunity
BDO Lixar is looking for a Cloud Network Engineer to join their growing team, with the ability to work according to a hybrid mode. The individual will own the following responsibilities:

• Promote automation and infrastructure best practices
• Creates multiple design views to address the different stakeholders' concerns and to handle both functional and non-functional requirements.
• Takes responsibility for major aspects of network specification, standards, technologies and overall network design models within the organization.
• Develop detailed plans and accurate estimates for the design, build, implementation and stabilization phases of the project.
• Designing communication networks to support strategic and operational requirements and producing network strategies, architectures, policies and related documentation.
• Ensure that cloud services meet availability and disaster recovery needs
• Carries out agreed network maintenance tasks and specified operational configuration of network components.
• Specifies design parameters for network connectivity, capacity, speed, interfacing, security and access, in line with business requirements.
• Uses required network management methodology, software and tools to investigate, troubleshooting, and diagnose network problems/faults, collect performance and traffic statistics, generate reports. Makes a significant contribution to the investigation, diagnosis and resolution of network problems.
• Manage all aspects of testing and verification, ensuring all tasks are performed for all interfaces.
• Translates logical designs into physical designs that meet specified operational parameters for capacity and performance.
• Ensure that cloud services support the ability to be provisioned via platform and pipeline products (Terraform Enterprise, Jenkins, and GitHub).
• Ensure that the cloud services have full observability and monitoring to ensure expected levels of service
• Maintains the network support process; checks and ensures that all requests for support are dealt with according to set standards and agreed procedures.
• Produces network design policies, principles and criteria covering connectivity, capacity, interfacing, security, resilience, recovery and access.
• Reviews and verifies network designs against non-functional requirements, including validation and error correction procedures, access, security and audit controls.
• Ensures network configurations are applied to meet operational requirements in line with agreed procedures.
• Designs specific network components using agreed architectures, design standards, patterns and methodology.
• Design and implementation of highly available, scalable and resilient applications both for cloud-native and non-cloud technologies stack
• Contributes to the development of recovery routines and contingency procedures. Contributes to alternative network architectures, networking topologies and design options.
• Providing maintenance and support services for communications networks.
• Drafts and maintains procedures and documentation for network support and operation.
• Participate in Day 2 operational needs such as service maintenance and incident/support response
• Assesses network-related risks and specifies recovery routines and contingency procedures.
• Produces, or approves network providers', network architectures, topologies and configuration databases for own area of responsibility.

Your Experience And Education
Must have:

• Experience with GitHub (Git Repo / Actions / Workflow), Jenkins, Ansible, Artifactory, Chef, etc.
• Knowledge or experience with container platforms. Ideally, Azure Kubernetes and/or Docker
• 3+ years of experience with building Azure network infrastructure (Express route, VPN, VNETs, subnets, NSGs, VNETs peering, hub-spoke, etc.)
• Communication skills necessary to work on a geographically distributed team.
• 3+ years of experience with Python/PowerShell/Bash development and scripting
• 3+ years of experience with Azure cloud services deployment and configuration, includes tenant, subscription, resource groups, templates, resources and tagging, common cloud services, etc.
• Experience with Network performance, APM, Monitoring and logging tools: Azure Monitor, Splunk Enterprise, ELK stack, Dynatrace, Nagios, SolarWinds, DataDog, etc.
• Be able to understand typical architecture diagrams, create and update technical documentation, provides training and knowledge transfer.
• Attention to detail
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
• Experience with typical NFR such as availability, scalability, business continuity, etc.
• Ability to prioritize properly in a complex environment.
• Strong desire for process improvement.
• 5+ years of experience with general network management and support: TCP/IP, DNS, firewall, VPN, routing, ingress + egress, network policy, load balancer, SSL certs management, etc.
• Knowledge or experience with cloud security on IAM, RBAC, Secrets management, DLP, SIEM, DecSecOps, runtime security, security policies, threat detection and response (incl automation), etc.
• Experience with developing Infrastructure as Code using Terraform modules, Bicep and ARM templates

Nice-to-Have:

• HashiCorp Terraform certification
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Network Engineer Associate
• Experience working in a SAFe, Kanban, or Scrum development methodology
• Experience developing software
