Associate, Client Care (Client Solutions Team) – Toronto

This position will be working within the Client Solutions team comprised of 70+ professionals globally who focus on engagement with our clients, developing solutions to meet their investment needs, and matching client capital with appropariate products on the CBRE IM platform.
This role focusses on CBRE Investment Management’s Private Infrastructure platform. The team creates long-term value for its clients by accessing, acquiring and managing high-quality infrastructure investments and building comprehensive infrastructure portfolios. The firm provides its services through its open-ended pooled vehicle, CGIF, and via customised separately managed accounts. The dedicated team of over 60 professionals manages over ~US$8 billion on behalf of institutional investors globally.
THE ROLE
Working as a member of the Client Solutions team and supporting the Private Infrastructure line of business for CBRE Investment Management, this role supports Client Solutions in the marketing of private infrastructure to clients and potential clients via institutional and high net worth channels. This role will act as a Client Care product lead for private infrastructure and as a point person for Client Solutions Officers and Private Infrastructure clients.
Responsibilities
Marketing Materials & Standard Reporting
· Actively involved in content creation and supports the execution of the marketing strategy; ensures all materials are updated, accurate and consistent
· Prepares and/or interprets performance analysis and communicates results effectively to internal and external stakeholders
Client/Prospect Engagement – RFPs, Due Diligence, Requests
· Project manages RFPs, DDQ responses, and operational due diligence meeting materials by establishing and managing timelines, submitting drafts for manager/investment team approval, facilitating the compliance review process, finalizing deliverables and submitting to clients
· Actively ensures updates to the RFP response database
· Key contact for day-to-day client queries; manages prospective and existing clients’ requests for information
Client Onboarding, KYC/DCC, stakeholder management
· With guidance, may support onboarding process, including client ‘handover’ from Client Solutions Officer to Client Care, and overall subscription / KYC process
· May facilitate introductions to relevant parties including legal and other third parties (transfer agents, administrators, custodians, etc.) and monitor progress of workstreams
Relevant Processes
· Supports the organization of webcasts, quarterly/annual meetings, and advisory boards, including coordination and/or preparation of associated materials
· Salesforce platform management: dashboards, content, tracking, closings and pipeline, and contacts
· May participate in client meetings, events, conferences, seminars, etc.
· Assists with ensuring fund specific content is added to CBRE IM Knowledge Center and plays an active role in drafting updated and new language
Client Solutions Integration
· Supports broader Client Solutions team with ongoing initiatives aimed at aligning processes and introducing efficiencies; initiates ideas to improve processes across the wider team and may lead efforts to execute a solution
· Demonstrates an understanding of the wider platform through participation in company projects, calls, working groups or other initiatives
· Works with wider Client Care team to provide consistency of approach across funds and streamline processes
Management/Supervisory Elements
· Mentoring and coaching more junior teammates; leads by example and models behaviors that are consistent with CBRE’s RISE values (Respect, Integrity, Service and Excellence)
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with a strong academic record and 3-6 years of related experience; pursuit of CFA, CAIA encouraged for further development
· Bilingual (French) an asset
· Strong knowledge of financial terms and principles; ability to understand and calculate key private market figures such as IRR, MOIC, DPI, etc.
· Reasoning ability, including an intermediate knowledge of the investment management industry, preferably with specific emphasis on private markets and / or the infrastructure asset class. Some understanding of institutional investment marketplace is an asset
· Demonstrated analytical and quantitative skills and the ability to interpret information from complex documents
· Intellectual agility and well-honed organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects to tight deadlines
· Exceptional oral and written communication skills; able to write reports, decks, RFPs, and articles to a good standard without heavy editing
· Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable, and courteous services to clients and to interact comfortably with all levels of the organization and effectively present information internally and externally
· Advanced abilities in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
